Actually he has Ehlers-Danlos Syndrome
It's a genetic disorder that affects the joints and skin. Sufferers don't produce the right kind of collagen and can literally fall apart at the seams. Wheelchair-bound Corrie actress Cherylee Houston (Izzy) has the same condition, although a lot more severe than Mr Stretch.
