After GJ's thread last night I've been thinking about my favourite record sleeves and it's been cheering me up a bit, now I'm wondering about what might be the worst one in my collection. I have a 'Best of the Yardbirds' one which is fucking toss, it's a painting of some birds. In a yard. Equally poor is Little Feat's 'Dixie Chicken' which is just an embarrassment. Whoever signed that off is a prick.

How much pocket money did you get?
I'd got £15 for a day's work in my Dad's shop from the age of about 9 that went up £5 every year on my birthday until I started my GCSEs, but had to pay Mum 20% 'House Keeping'.

I'm not sure if this counts as vulgar money talk, don't think it does.

In my Dad's shop, they had a mezineen floor that was used for stock, the cieling was about 5ft high. He got fined for his advertisment looking for a Dwarf, apparently only theoratical people can/could do that at the time.

When we did the Markets and Trade Shows, i'd get £125 for the weekend, two days, 6am start, sometimes midnight finish.

Best education, that. You quickly learnt that nobody will tell you if you overchange and a penny under and you won't hear the end of it.
