Something popular I hate: milk
Something unpopular I love: sodomy
(, Wed 14 Sep 2011, 8:30, Reply)
I can't stand Ben Stiller films, Meet The Parents, Zoolander, Something About Mary, etc
Sad thing is that when he's not the main character (or not the ONLY main character), he's done several very good films.

Something unpopular I love is rabbit stew. I really want to make that again soon.
(, Wed 14 Sep 2011, 8:39, Reply)
They sell rabbit in supermarkets here in Beijing
I've never bought it yet though. Have to look out a recipe.

The fresh fruit/veg/meat markets are a sight to behold: fancy some eels? Maybe a frog or crab? Get them FRESH.
(, Wed 14 Sep 2011, 8:45, Reply)
My recipe was going so well, before I fucked it up
I added far too much stock, so the sauce (that was fantastic) completely went to shit.
(, Wed 14 Sep 2011, 8:48, Reply)
Could you not just reduce it back down again?

(, Wed 14 Sep 2011, 8:48, Reply)
It was already in the slow cooker at this point, sadly.

(, Wed 14 Sep 2011, 8:57, Reply)
You could have ladled out some of the stock and reduced it down quickly in a pan?
Maybe for next time?
(, Wed 14 Sep 2011, 8:58, Reply)
I've had many ideas on how to sort it since, sadly none occurred to me at the time

(, Wed 14 Sep 2011, 9:42, Reply)

I woke up in real srs pain today, so I took some tablets and it went away, and it's just come back in the last 10 minuites.
Oh man, I think it's an infection 'cus I get this every month or soo. I thought I was alright 30 minuites ago so I just made a dozen qwahsontz, half filled with nutella and peanutbutter, 3 filled with bounty bar, 3 filled with mint areo. I was gonna take them into work and be all like "GIVE ME ACCEPTANCE, SHOW ME LOVE" with them, but the pain has come back, which really really sucks. I don't want to be in pain anymore =((((( I want to be well and in work. OH WOE IS ME.

Popular that I can't get into: Tuna, Football, films based in forrest or deserts or casinos.
Unpopular that I really like: Will Young, Will Smith, Hollyoaks.
(, Wed 14 Sep 2011, 8:45, Reply)

You've been fox hunting?

(, Wed 14 Sep 2011, 8:48, Reply)
Sorry dear, when he says 'fox', he really does mean it.
It's not a euphemism for 'Cougar'.
(, Wed 14 Sep 2011, 8:49, Reply)
Not since the ban.
My parents are very anti(father was a sab at uni) and all i heard when I was growing up was how bad it was. I decided to follow a hunt one weekend and really enjoyed it.
(, Wed 14 Sep 2011, 8:50, Reply)
I applaud your decision to find out about it for yourself but obviously I don't applaud your outcome.

(, Wed 14 Sep 2011, 8:52, Reply)

I hate football. With a passion almost equal to those that love it.
I love machines. Anything mechanical or electrical. People seem to hate having to deal with machines, mostly I think because they don't understand how they work and don't know how to fix them when they go wrong. I find them fascinating and enjoy fixing them when they break.

Shame really, if I'd discovered this ten years before I did, I'd have been an engineer.
(, Wed 14 Sep 2011, 8:57, Reply)
Football is FUCKING SHIT.

(, Wed 14 Sep 2011, 8:59, Reply)

Watching the rugby world cup, I am starting to agree

(, Wed 14 Sep 2011, 9:00, Reply)
I can't stand it. The game itself is, at best, ok.
It's the ridiculous tribalism surrounding it that I loathe. All those grown men playing dress-up and face-painting like it matters. All the while pretending that they don't look like nursery school kids.
(, Wed 14 Sep 2011, 9:00, Reply)
^This

(, Wed 14 Sep 2011, 9:02, Reply)
I also loathe the status that footballers get in the premiership clubs.
They're only athletes ffs.
(, Wed 14 Sep 2011, 9:03, Reply)
I hate this part of the game
Watching football as a pure spectator sport is brilliant though. I do agree that the game is more technical but more "cheaty" now
(, Wed 14 Sep 2011, 9:04, Reply)
This could be a good question later on
What are you baffled by?
(, Wed 14 Sep 2011, 8:59, Reply)
Haha I hope nobody says "cars" or "computers". I'd try to teach them.
I have this crippling disease where I think people would enjoy these exceptionally clever devices if only they'd take the time to try and understand them.

I'm almost always wrong, of course. People just want somebody else to do it for them.

It's very sad because these things represent the ingenuity of the human race and the hundreds of years of learned knowledge, passed down and built on over generations.
(, Wed 14 Sep 2011, 9:03, Reply)
I have to admit I dont really understand cars
Right pedal = go fasty

Football is great.
Although I do watch lower league football, which is such bad quality that it's wonderful. Everybody should support Southend United. Although then they'd have loads of money and be brilliant which would take the fun out of it for me, I suppose.

I love Daredevil and watched F4:Rise Of The Silver Server for the 4th time last week and still think it's great.
(, Wed 14 Sep 2011, 9:18, Reply)
It was an odd film that one
I did enjoy the A-team remake last week though
(, Wed 14 Sep 2011, 9:19, Reply)
I was suprised how much I liked the A-Team film
It's just so much fun with some cool and/or daft moments.
(, Wed 14 Sep 2011, 9:21, Reply)
Just like the original series!

(, Wed 14 Sep 2011, 9:22, Reply)
I was very much the same

(, Wed 14 Sep 2011, 9:44, Reply)
I was surprised how much I enjoyed that too, right up to that weird cup and ball hiding game with the crates.
It lost me there.

And it wasn't as good as 'RED', which I thought was wonderful.
(, Wed 14 Sep 2011, 9:24, Reply)
RED was one of my standout films
from last year. Absolutely loved it! Glad to see there's another fan.
(, Wed 14 Sep 2011, 9:26, Reply)
I thought I might have been alone on that.
I don't know anyone else who liked it. Actually, apart from the missus who I dragged along, I don't actually know anyone else who even saw it.
(, Wed 14 Sep 2011, 9:28, Reply)
I saw it and liked it.
I think it was a little overshadowed by the other "old actors blowing shit up" film, The Expendables.
(, Wed 14 Sep 2011, 9:29, Reply)
Yeah,
I think it got a bit lost among The A-Team/The Losers/The Expendables didn't it? Shame, because it was proper good like.
(, Wed 14 Sep 2011, 9:31, Reply)
I'll have to give it a rewatch because I don't remember thinking much of it
It was good seeing that Ernest Borgnine is still alive and working though. The slo-mo 'Bruce stepping casually out a moving car firing a gun' scene was pretty cool, I like stuff like that, like when Angelina Jolie scoops James McAvoy into her car in Wanted without breaking his ankles. Stupid and funny but cool nonetheless.
(, Wed 14 Sep 2011, 9:45, Reply)
I thought Karl Urban was pretty funny
Didn't have him pegged as a deadpanner.
(, Wed 14 Sep 2011, 9:59, Reply)
RED is absolutely superb

(, Wed 14 Sep 2011, 9:44, Reply)
I like that the RED fanclub is bigger than I'd thought.

Something popular I hate: Harry Potter, everything about it from the children's books to the dull, dull films. Well, I say books and films plural, i gave up halfway through the first of both. I actively resent the fact that I have had this pushed down my throat by TV and Newspapers and Magazines for, what? A quarter of my life time now? JK Rowling can fuck off.

Something unpopular I love: Country music. From the cheesiest Kenny Rogers to the most beautiful EmmyLou Harris, it's fucking awesome.
(, Wed 14 Sep 2011, 9:09, Reply)
Did you see the Frank Skinner interview with Kenny Rogers?
Turns out he owns a fast food chain called "Kenny Rogers Roasters". At the time, his advertising campaign bore the slogan "It's the wood that makes it good".
(, Wed 14 Sep 2011, 9:11, Reply)
I didn't see it, but I've heard of that before.
