I have a collection of guitarsI have to say that I only have three that would be classed as 'Name' guitars - A Yamaha, an Ovation doubleneck and a Babicz*. The rest were bought because of fantastic sound & playability despite what was printed on the headstock. I've seen and played Fenders, Gibsons and Martins** that were pretty damn average - in some cases fucking awful - yet had high price tags.
Alt: Strings. Cheap strings are, by and large, shit.

I love my Fender Stratocaster but I played many when choosing one and some were awful and others were great. However my best sounding and playable guitar has OLP on the headstock, is called the MM1 and was £120 brand new. medias.audiofanzine.com/images/normal/olp-mm1-trans-color-511728.jpg mine is this one but unsigned by whoever the fuck that is. Who would sign an OLP? it say Ernie ball licenced it on the back of the headstock so I assume its and Officially licenced copy of the music man.

Yes it doesHowever, the electrics/electronics will always have a more profound effect. Having said that, playability is entirely different, a guitar that suits your hands/style/build etc will always be played more*.
*My Ovation double-neck sounds OK unplugged, much better when amplified but it's a bastard to play - too unwieldy.

He told me right at the start to avoid electros as you're paying extra for the gubbins so usually the guitar is less good. Then he played this one and just said "buy that now, it's beautiful"

It's a diesel 306.The incident was just a slight bump: bit of a dent in the bonnet, but the car itself is cosmetically fucked, It was my first car, and it's had all the dents and hard driving you would associate with that.
The engine is far too good to scrap, though, and it's only had 80k on the clock.

If it's a Cat C or D write off, you'll have to get it inspected and MOTed once the work's been done.You'll probably struggle to sell it on, but if you're just planning on running it until it dies, there's no real issue with it.
If it's just the bonnet, get a second hand one off ebay.

As long as the write-off leaves it safe to driveit makes no odds. you have to declare it to the insurance company. I assume it's a Cat D (as in uneconomical to repair rather than being "proper fucked") so you simply have to tell your insurance company, plus if you ever sell it you have to declare it.
I had a mini about 18 years ago that I tried to do that with but the company got very, very shirty about it. So if they are offering and you don't want a new car but do want some money, go for it.

Missus rear ended someone once and fucked the bonnet, bumpers, radiator, wings etcbut as it was her fault the others claimed off her and she was third party only so her car was never written off. So we just replaced all the bits and put it through it MOT. Sold it 6 months later still seemed fine. Seems like your has nowhere near the damage hers did.

The heera herbs and spices that come in packets are more flavourful and much cheaper than the schwarz glass jars.I just got back from the opticians, the current trend in glasses is treading a very thin line between hipster and psychopathic child-botherer.

have you considered laser eye surgery?I've never been sure whether it's the sort of thing everyone could do if they can afford it, or whether it only works for certain conditions.

Nah.I don't mind wearing glasses. Also, I'm not sure it would work for me. My eyes didn't require glasses until about 7 years ago and they've been going downhill at a "normal" rate since.
It's supposed to be safer than contacts. Although contacts seem like too much of a faff as well.
