Blimey, they're popping off this week.

His writings were good reading, whether you agreed with him or not. I did, mostly. Any thoughts?
Alt, have you ever voted? Do you think it changes anything?

Oh good, I do like a nice lighthearted thread to start the day!

Sorry frog. I liked the guy, he had a few convictions and stood by them. I respected the bloke. Feel free to start another thread :(

No, don't mind me dear boy, I'm only messing.
Although I shy away from political discussion on here, mainly because I find it boring to listen to a bunch of autistic freaks pretend to know what they are talking about.

I'm feeling fragile, don't be nasty to me today.

(, Fri 14 Mar 2014, 8:04, Reply)
I'm never genuinely nasty, apart from to Dozer because he is a fucking cunt.

(, Fri 14 Mar 2014, 8:05, Reply)
Maybe you should go to see a real doc.
I have to say though old Tony was a proper old school politician, and a cracking bloke by the sounds of things. A few more of his type wouldn't go amiss.
Alt I always vote, I get very pissed off when people don't, it changes many things indirectly e.g. the NHS at the moment
(, Fri 14 Mar 2014, 8:07, Reply)
If the Tories get another term, which I think unlikely, the NHS is basicaly fucked.

I don't know that much about medical education - do you lot lot get many Pointless Bullshit courses to do?
I am currently finishing off 3000 words of utter drivel about mentorship.
What I wanted from the course was some stuff about my legal and ethical position vis-a-vis stuff like signing off final placement students and some handy hints and tips on in-the-workplace-teaching and got 8 weeks of management speak and very little of the above.

It didn't help that there were two physchiatric nurse cunts on the course who lapped up all that bollocks.

Yes, quite a few.

That was the point at which I switched off and the theme from 'Magic Roundabout' started playing in my head on the classroom days.
My most common question to the lecturers 'Yes, but what do you actually WANT with this piece of work?'

I was rather passive-aggressively referred to in the 'problem students' session as 'the one who doesn't see the point in anything'.

I bet you felt proud!

(, Fri 14 Mar 2014, 8:39, Reply)

it's really beautiful, and they do dinner there in the evenings, which is stunning. a well-kept secret.
although the kids might find it boring, depending on their ages. In all honesty, you might be better taking them to regents park for a run-around and then to the zoo, if they are under 10.

Go on a sewer tour.
With any luck you'll be overcome by noxious gases and your desiccated corpses discovered by sewermen days later having been gnawed on by black rats the size of your forearm. The sewermen will turn in your bodies to the authorities, but not until after stripping them of valuables. Nobody will care.

he used to let us go down there when we were little. not sure what my dad was thinking. probably hoping we'd never come back.

yeah but going down and chiselling it out with a hammer sounds like a bit more work than going to the scrappy
hmmmmm
(, Fri 14 Mar 2014, 10:24, Reply)

minerals to combine into the ore, then smelt it and refine it so happy days
