Talk has an "open thread" feel, whereas Off Topic is a series of closed threads, and so it doesn't flow nicely.
Also, being President of the Emvee fanclub is a lonely position, what with me being the only member.

It was down by the Cranley Gardens, my love and I did meet.
She crossed the Cranley Gardens with little snow-white feet.
She bid me take love easy, as the leaves grow on the tree,
But I was young and foolish, and with her did not agree.

Yep, and on a midweek flight.
I got an A380 once, the landing terrified me the crosswind made it almost land diagonally and you can look at wing and landing gear cams from the little TVs.
Hopefully they are close enough for people to find the crash site quickly.

The landing gear is very strong
A 747 is designed to be able to land at up to 45 degrees relative to the direction of travel, cos if you try and turn one that close to the ground the outermost engine will hit the floor.
