I gritted the driveway of my work neighbour this morning as I knew I'd end up driving onto it and pinballing my way around the forecourt when I came to get my car this evening otherwise
In return they bought me hot chocolate to say thank you and invited me out for a snowball fight with their husky puppy at lunchtime. I have NEVER seen a dog love snow as much as he did :)

What nice things have you done for people that's worked out well for both of you?

Every time I do something kind my heating breaks down or I have a pipe burst and then my landlady treats me like I've done it on purpose and shut shut up and enjoy having no heat or water.

It was certainly ‘Blax-lite’ but the costumes are excellent
I have a collection of Blax soundtracks that you would love. Best and most obscure of all is that of ‘Black Shampoo’* – the film itself is rare enough, the soundtrack even more so before it was reissued. Best Blax film ever? Superfly, for the middle montage alone, not to mention Curtis Mayfield's score.

I gave a colleague and his dog a lift home at lunchtime.
We're pretty lucky with our neighbours. There are often things being loaned/ hedges being cut/ rabbits and goldfish looked after when owners away, etc.

If facebook suggests a friend "that you might know" but you don't actually know them and then you request that person to be your friend, but they point out that they have never met you and then don't accept the friend request (and breath)

Is it weird to keep sending messages saying that they ought to accept your facebook friend request?

I only ask because someone from /links is doing exactly this to me and frankly, it's becoming scary.
