Today I am having bricks, dust, broken jars and squashed Black Magic due to a fork lift truck driver not realising that putting the gear into reverse makes it go backwards and smash into the shop next door. What are you having?

However, tonight I am eating gammon and pineapple, with homegrown new potatoes, lettuce, spring onions, radishes and carrots. Also tomatoes but these are not homegrown.

Thankfully they are avialable to us

but I was wise. I stocked up on the real creme eggs (they have a very long shelf life) and bought 125 cases of them just before Cadburys stopped manufacturing them after Easter :)

Scottish Theme to my main course today.

Gary Rhodes recipe from Saturday Kitchen.
Pan - fried Salmon with a crunchy oatmeal crust,
with a Whisky sauce
served with spinach and new potatoes.

I'm washing that down with a rather smooth 25 yr old Macallan
(which I obviously didn't use for cooking - I'm not mad - I used Fa*ous Gr**se for that)

I've got Cherries and Grapes for pudding, with some G+B Organic Vanilla Icecream

Then I'm off to the pub for sexy ladies, beer and sunshine - but no crappy football - Bah !

I think the oatmeal crust saves it

reducing a third of a pint of whisky down to less than half volume was a bit of a scary experience - I nearly got pissed on the fumes !

I was just about to serve up a fact

but you beat me to it. I have the day off so I've been doing whatever I want, so I went fishing. For lunch today I am having a freshly caught sea trout and freshly picked chanterelles, toast, three beers, a glass of Irn Bru, water then more fishing.

It used to be either rainbow trout or atlantic salmon when I was fishing as a lad

mind you, we only caught atlantic salmon because we'd go fishing next to a fish farm.
