as everybody's been saying, try and look a few time, ONE of your senses will vanish from the list after a few times, then u will be able to go a certain direction depending on which sense has gone (but I can't remember how they go..sorry) ... so try it out a few times - or just goto gamefaq.com and get the walkthrough.

This happens a lot, everytime you use the infinite improbability drive IIRC. It's a really really really really hard game. Took me something like seven years to finish, on and off.
