Going on a camping trip in a van
and I start in the south of France (having driven from England to pick up a friend). I have 3 weeks before uni starts. Where do I go? If anybody has done this sort of thing before advice would be appreciated. Thanks :)

Crap film
I've just sat through the 1999 remake of "House on Haunted Hill" and it was bloody awful.

What 'horror' films have you seen recently that are less scary than writing the word "Boo" on a scrap of paper with a biro?

Evening my lovelies.
What song lyrics make you go "WTF?" For me, it's the "if there's a bustle in your hedgerow..." bit from Stairway to Heaven.

EDIT: If the answer to the above is "none", tell us your favourite lyric instead. I'm still working on this one...

So when we were in town today
Mr Bin mentioned that he needed some new undercrackers.

I can only assume that keeping ones cock and balls away from ones trousers requires some expensive technology judging by the cost of said pants.

I can buy frilly pants for a quid a pop, men's drawers seem to be about £5 each, what the fuck gives?

Quick question.
So - I like to write. I really do. More to the point - I'm trying to find ways of getting paid to write. I've found a couple of sites via google that pay you to write, but I'm just wondering if you guys have got any opinions on sites or magazines that pay you to write for them - are any sites or mags good or bad to write for etc?

I realise you're all enjoying your saturdays - just thought i'd ask.

Anyone know anything about Budgerigards?
such as why one of my parents budgies is now hanging upside down from its perch and looking puzzled? I don't think its anything they're feeding it, but it could be the delightful Leamington Spa weather..

I've just watched The curious case of Benjamin Button and cried like a baby.
I think I may have hit the menopause early.

If you had your own themetune which you could have playing around you at any given moment, perhaps by pressing a button...located somewhere on your person...what would it be?
Mine would be Beastie boys - Intergalactic.

I haven't really bothered with QOTW for some time now as I haven't liked the question or had a story to relate to it.
Soooooooooo.....

To expand upon QOTW suggestions, what question would you like to be asked on QOTW and what would your answer be?

Alright?
It's Friday, it's raining, and it's cold. Great British Summer, eh?

So... If you could kebab four people, and talk to them while you cooked them over an open fire, who would they be?

Horses - best of all the animals?
Absolute shite.

Owls are.

They stay up all night (without drugs) and still look cool in the morning.

Small World
Some of you will have read the Kid story in the tramps QOTW. Here's an update.

I was out for a drink with the wife on Wednesday and he walked into the pub with his mate! He didn't recognise me but I knew it was him. He looked older, obviously, but happy. He was well dressed and definitely comfortable. No holding of the pint with both hands and no scowling around wondering about the next fight. Life does get better at times and it looked like it has for him. I slept better on wedneday night than I had since relating the story.

Your very good health.

The Next Big Thing....
www.engadget.com/2009/07/24/video-witricity-is-back-promises-wireless-power-within-18-mont/

I've mentioned a few times that "Wireless Power Transmition" will be hube, thinking it's about 5-10 years off. Now it looks like it'll be in a comercial market in less than two years.

Can anyone lend me £50k to invest in this technology?

Slow Friday
I an staring out the window at the fluffy clouds and seeing shapes. I just saw a beckoning arm beneath a bearded face that might have been Jesus, Satan or Vipros.

What shapes can you see?

What's your favourite drinking game?

I like 'frogs' and I'm sure you will as it has some maths involved.

On the first round the players take it in turns to say the following P1 "1 frog" P2 "2 eyes" P3 "4 legs" P4"in a bucket" P5 "plop!"

The next round starts "2 frogs," "4 eyes", "8 legs" "in a bucket" in a bucket" "plop!" "plop!"

Each round you add a frog and the person who can't count loses and drinks. You can also play backwards, but when your pissed this game is a nightmare!

Due to the pressure of literally *no* Public Demand
I give you Chapter Nine of 'The God Squad'

"JingleJangleJingle

They slept. Hundreds upon thousands of bodies, all sleeping a deep and peaceful slumber. The vast, cavernous space in which they slept was filled with the fitful grunts, sighs and farts of sleep. Very occasionally, in one choreographed movement, all of the bodies would spasm rhythmically, and then…

JingleJangleJingle

Thousands of hands with nicotine-stained fingernails scratched at thick, long beards as all of the bodies turned in unison. Arms raised in to the air, performing a complex salute to the sky, before clasping back down to the sides of the bodies once more. Legs twisted in a merry yet complex dance, and then…

JangleJingleJangleCLUNK

The room echoed as hundreds of thousands of sticks were gripped in liver-spotted hands and thrust out to meet their neighbours in a thick, wooden cacophony of noise.

The Morris Dancers were sleeping.

But now, they were waking up."

The rest of the chapter, and indeed the story so far, can be found here

EDIT: Apols for line breaks, stupid wider screen. The online book is not so breaky, I promise!
