meinen lunchment
Traditional iceland beef casserole with TWO whole dumplings with some instant mash from lidl and a pair of nice round baps, all washed down with generic tap fluid.
Sadly, one of the baps tasted a bit "gamey" and was not consumed.

Plus, I was going to have bacon sandwiches instead but the bacon smelled like the "rotting sweat of a thousand dead prostitutes", so processed pap it was!

Today, I will be mostly eating...
Beef and stilton pie with pan seared potatoes and seasonal veg with onion gravy.
For pudding I shall be eating strawberry sorbet with a core of marsala icecream, drizzled with tart raspberry syrup.
I shall more than likely wash this all down with a glass or two of Rioja gran-reserva and a double espresso.

Chips or Saute surely ?
No
Chips are deep fried and saute are par-boiled and then shallow fried.
Pan seared are shallow fried raw and are usually quite small pieces to ensure that they are cooked fully in the short space of time that they are in the pan. They are also cooked in a greased pan, not shallow fried (which is suggestive of a small depth of standing oil).

Nope, none of that nonsense
It was just a nice piece of Brisket.
It goes a bit manky looking when it's in the brine as most of the fat dissolves
It also goes very pale, gets it's colour back when you cook it.
