# Yup
there's squintillions of wooyays, but few are quite that large...

Squeeze it down a bit, there's a nice chap - woos are meant to be secondary to the main pics! (Oh and I wonder what Weebl would say if he saw it...)
(, Thu 3 Apr 2003, 21:13, archived)
# I think he would say
"I like pie. Mmmh, pie"

# can i jack this thread and ask
whats the best anim prog for a complete newbie
who used to think he was a funny guy till he found b3ta?
(, Thu 3 Apr 2003, 21:00, archived)
# Depends
what do you use to draw pics? most of the bigger name packages have bundled animating programs, and that would be best for you 'cause it'd be easier to learn.

If you're going from scratch, perhaps flash... or if you're poor, try www.gimp.org
(, Thu 3 Apr 2003, 21:04, archived)
# or paint
shop pro from jasc..

but flash or photoshop 5.5 or higher if you have them
(, Thu 3 Apr 2003, 21:06, archived)
# Do you own Photoshop 6 or 7?
Then you may want to give the bundled "ImageReady" a try. Easy to understand, works seamlessly with Photoshop and animates easily "across layers".
Personally, I prefer Macromedia's "Fireworks" -- but that's just me...
(, Thu 3 Apr 2003, 21:05, archived)
# i have jasc 7.02
there's a anim thingy on there, is it good? (edit) jus saw my message and thought "god i sound like a right dumbshit!" i shall check out photoshop when i manage to tear myself away from here! thankyou all!!
(, Thu 3 Apr 2003, 21:07, archived)
# Sorry, I don't know that one
(, Thu 3 Apr 2003, 21:09, archived)
# I installed Studio MX
and was instantly pissed off by the fact the programs in the bundle instantly and without warning take over every filetype they can - bastards!

After that I was too annoyed to try and learn how to use it... Especially as it actually takes longer than Photoshop to load, which is scary!

I do want/need to learn Flash though, so I may re-install that alone.
(, Thu 3 Apr 2003, 21:11, archived)
# I never had a problem with filetypejacking,
but then I'm one of the last Macintosh-people on this
planet and that particular Macromedia-problem never
popped up on my machine (OS X w/ Studio MX)

Fireworks is indeed a nifty little helper, but I'm sure there's
lots of alternatives out there in the real world.
(, Thu 3 Apr 2003, 21:16, archived)
# Try it and see
it'll only be as good as you can make it, same as anything else... what we like using may be no good for you, depends on what you know and how you work.
(, Thu 3 Apr 2003, 21:09, archived)
# you have to save each frame
from paintshop as you go. then reassemble them in animationstudio. It's not great, but if it crashes you don't lose everything.
unlike ImageReady, which is better, but more risky, IMHO
(, Thu 3 Apr 2003, 21:09, archived)
# We Love you Vigil!
I've made another video again :D This one's streamed on an embedded windows media player and is called Vigil we love you!. Of course when first thinking up this video i thought of the main important points of making a video:
1.Choose someone you don't know
2.Film it retardedly
3.Show to people you don't know
The man in question is Henry P. Vigil who is Microsofts Corporate Vice President. This video proves that Microsoft do have some loverly happy people working for their evil empire. So i dedicate this to Vigil...

WE LOVE YOU,

Chris
