It's at this time of the night, where I'm working a late shift, where I wonder to myself, and everyone else.....
... anyone up for some sort of affair?
(, Sun 19 Jul 2009, 2:41, Reply)
I can't post this in my Facebook status
because two of my friends are leaders of my old church youth group and would take offence, but

I am seriously, seriously fucking pissed off.

My girlfriend moved back to her mum's a month ago, taking our 2 year old son with her. I haven't seen him since, and today they moved in to a new house with her fucking boyfriend.

They are currently asleep in their house, with my son.

Not fucking happy.

That is all.

Oh yes, if anyone has any experience of family courts, contact orders, CAFCASS and so on, please give me some pointers. Thankyou.

Best thing I've heard on TV in years:
"The youth appears to be quite drunk and challenging the police to a dancing competition"

What has made you laugh unexpectedly lately?

Finally, it's finished.
I still need to get a 3/8" thick piece of glass for the top for a load bearing surface, but here's the result:

I tried installing lights under it, but I didn't like the effect- you can see through the glass too easily, so the lights showed too clearly. I debated putting a piece of white plexiglass like you see in a light table under it to diffuse the light, but it was starting to get too complex at that point.

So instead I put a piece of foil backed styrofoam under it. The foil was not smooth but had a bit of texture to it, which I kinda liked as it made it look more like water.

Detailed pics are here:

It's my b3taday!
And if it hadn't been for the lovely warmfuzzyfeeling, I wouldn't have realised! July and August are filled with so many anniversaries and landmark dates for me already. This weekend was already a weird one. In a good way really... Any of you lot aware of any significance of this weekend?

On the one hand....
I'm STILL feeling awful from last night despite not actually getting that drunk (fucking light-weight)..

But on the other I'm getting a chinese for dinner tonight. Not sure what I'll go for. Any suggestions? So while my mates are all in the pub getting steaming, I think I'm going to stay in with the chinese, wank myself retarded and then watch the Silence of the Lambs..

How's your Saturday report?

Oh yes and by the way what a fucking tune Supertramp - Goodbye Stranger is!!

Spunky's mad dream from the medical advice thread below
Has reminded me of my dream from last night. I dreamt I was wearing a flimsy gown, and that one of my friends was singing "I love side-boobs, best of all the wardrobe malfunctions." I think I'm spending too much time on OT. What have the rest of you been dreaming about?

Important medical advice
We should always listen to what our bodies are trying to tell us.

Mine is telling me that I need to go down the caff and have an Olympic Breakfast to cure my hangover.

What's your body got to say?

Awwww
I can't find my camera card (I think I left it up in the mountains), but Bomber is soooooo cute right now!
Her little paw is bandaged up and she has a silly cone on her head, and she's looking at me and saying "Kristine was right, you're a bad mum".

I did tell her I ain't feeding her for the next few months to make up the vet fees. And the cost of the vodka

oh the irony
Was just watching Look North, and they interviewed a student from Grimsby about the academy she attended. She said, and I quote:

"I got the best education I could of"

My babies have gone!
My class have gone!

Term has ended and because I didn't get my job there I won't be there to see them next term.

I know I have bitched about them but they were nearly all in tears at the end.
Most of them got me presents, which were mainly chocolate. That, and the 6 weeks holiday, will help me recover.

What's everyone got planned for the weekend?
Tonight - Few beers with brother Beekers
Tomorrow - Up to Co. Durham for family party. My Mum's slightly chavvy side of the family. So a brawl and police intervention usually a given at any of their get-togethers.
Sunday - Recovering and travelling back I reckon.

Oh, anyone seen Hunger, about Bobby Sands' hunger strike?
I was very impressed indeed. Haunting piece of work.

Today has been a good day
The train was on time this morning, I only have a maximum of 9 weeks left of work, I got a story in the newsletter, and I finally arranged to meet some b3tans next week - I've never (knowingly) met one before!

Plus my colleague appears to have mastered the art of using deodorant after cycling in to work, so the office doesn't smell like a dying badger.

Has anyone else had a satisfactory Friday?

Aaaaah
Wormulus has sent me a lovely gaz bragging about how easy I was to troll.

So, bragging about how good an internet troll you are, surely this is on a par with bragging about how many used tampons you stuck to your face that time you decided to crawl through a sewer?

Predictive Text
I've noticed quite a few occasions where predictive text offers several different words for the same keypresses, and sometimes they're linked:

pint - shot - riot
needs - offer
efficient - deficient

Any others you've noticed?

EDIT: Helps if you don't stupidly use -> in your posts.

I was just reading a /talk post
I know, I know. I should know better.

Well anyway they had decided that the QOTW story where a man got digitally penetrated by a masseuse was most definitely made up.

After watching Mock the Week (repeat) on Dave last night, funnily enough I was thinking about qotw.

The story in the news was that an Australian long-distance lorry driver (who was transporting 2 huge tankers of milk), choked on a boiled sweet and in the process swung the juggernaut off the road. It ploughed through 2 houses and came to rest within a third. Within the third house was a man who was absent from work having broke his leg. So as he watched the Oz version of Jeremy Kyle during the week, a gigantic Milk tanker burst into his living room and hit him with enough force to break his other leg.

So my rambling is - can you imagine the internet carnage if this guy actually went online and posted his story on QOTW about how he broke 2 legs in separate incidents!? I think b3ta would explode with the force of a Hydrogen bomb bringing the rest of the internet down with it....

I had a genius, life-saving idea this morning

I've figured out how to save hundreds of lives on the roads each year.

All you need to do is to attach one of those fish emblems to the back of all boy-racer and salesmen's cars. From empirical research, I have discovered that no car with the fish emblem on it is capable of driving more than 10m.p.h. BELOW the speed limit in any given area - though in a 30m.p.h. area, they sometimes creep over 25m.p.h.

What do you think?
