This week will be sorting out the spare room and all of our associated paperworkIt will also include healthy eating, a few runs, long dog walks and no alcohol (boooooo!) I'm aware the only misery this will reduce is my waistline.
I can actually feel my sinuses filling with delicious snot at the moment. This is not a good thing.
Tonight will be trick or treating with the kids so that will be good. I was most proud of my pumpkin carving at the weekend.

I have applied for a couple of short term positions already.Heard zilch from either of them. Also registered with a few employment agencies, and uploaded my CV onto a few sites. The bastard is, most employers want experience in whatever particular line of work they're advertising, so even if I could probably do the job with a minimal amount of training, it's not even worth applying because there will always be 20 people ahead of me with the requisite experience.

I'm thinking a Tanquerry and a Gordons Sloe at the moment, and at least 6 bottles of Merlot

It can have a depressive impact.I have seen a grown man weep about very minor matters after a night on the gin.
I have the occasional one as an aperitif but that's it - partly as gin hangovers are amongst the worst.

I find it too much - they've gone for too many botanicalsTanqueray, Plymouth or Blackwoods for a day-to-day gin. Caorunn, Tanqueray 10 or Sipsmith for the more serious drinks.
But then I'm apparently the only person in the world that doesn't like Hendricks, either. So I'm probably wrong. Except, of course, I'm me, so I'm not.
And, anyway, as I've said four hundred times before - it's less about the gin and more about the tonic. If you're going to use schweppes of any kind or (god forbid) slimline tonic you might just as well start with meths.
