is it time for a din-dins thread?
Please let it be time for a dinner time thread.

Tell me about what you're eating for your tea. YES A FOOD THREAD YESSSSS.
(, Tue 26 May 2009, 20:22, archived)
I don't know yet.
I presently have a tuppa tea in my Seldom Seen Mug.
(, Tue 26 May 2009, 20:22, archived)
But it's BEER o'clock.
I'm drinking lager.
(, Tue 26 May 2009, 20:24, archived)
There wasn't any beer when I made the tea
but there is now. YAY.
(, Tue 26 May 2009, 20:25, archived)
We've had ours already
We had Gammon roasted in honey, parsnips roast potatoes and broccoli.

I wanted some of last nights cherry pie and custard but it's not kept overnight well :(
(, Tue 26 May 2009, 20:23, archived)
braw!
and sod the pudding!
(, Tue 26 May 2009, 20:25, archived)
Braw! Ace word.
There used to be a comic strip called The Jocks & The Geordies, it was either in the Beano or Whizzer & Chips. They said 'braw' a lot in that.
(, Tue 26 May 2009, 20:33, archived)
Yum
I have to limit the number of times we buy gammon joints as I would be fatter than an MP's expenses account otherwise.
(, Tue 26 May 2009, 20:27, archived)
I haven't had dinner yet and I don't think I'm going to.
I'm not eating much at the moment. :(
(, Tue 26 May 2009, 20:23, archived)
Aww Benji :(
Stress?
(, Tue 26 May 2009, 20:24, archived)
No, just fat

(, Tue 26 May 2009, 20:25, archived)
Home made pizza with chillies, salami and mushrooms. Housemate had to walk all the way to Morrisons
because there were no ready meals left. There's fruit, veg, meat, frozen veg, eggs, butter, pasta, rice etc etc, but if he can't prick the lid he doesn't cook it.
(, Tue 26 May 2009, 20:24, archived)
Stab the fucker
Or just buy tantalising ingredients
(, Tue 26 May 2009, 20:34, archived)
I don't think he's ever boiled an egg.
I've only seen him use the hob once, that was for soup. I've never seen him use even a kitchen knife. He eats bread and ready meals, I think it's quite sad really.
(, Tue 26 May 2009, 20:38, archived)
He's an idle fucker
God love him.
(, Tue 26 May 2009, 20:39, archived)
I'd still go for the stabbing
An adult should be able to cook a basic meal or face a stabbing
(, Tue 26 May 2009, 20:48, archived)
Gordon?

(, Tue 26 May 2009, 20:51, archived)
The moron

(, Tue 26 May 2009, 20:53, archived)
Gordon Ramsey stabbing folks who can't cook.
Would that be good telly?
(, Tue 26 May 2009, 21:04, archived)
I'd be fucked

(, Tue 26 May 2009, 21:05, archived)
I dunno
I know for a fact you can do chilli and cake. Top wife material.
(, Tue 26 May 2009, 21:10, archived)
I'd stab him every time he slapped his hands together

(, Tue 26 May 2009, 21:09, archived)
I don't eat my tea, I drink it
but for dinner I had chicken in cream and tomato sauce. With tatties, onions and carrots.
(, Tue 26 May 2009, 20:24, archived)
Fuck afternoon tea.
I'm coming round for dinner.
(, Tue 26 May 2009, 20:52, archived)
Toad in the Hole
with some cherry yoghurt for afters
(, Tue 26 May 2009, 20:25, archived)
No idea. I'm bloody starving though.
Might whine until flatmate goes to chippy for me.
(, Tue 26 May 2009, 20:25, archived)
A ham and cheese roll, and a mug of coffee.

(, Tue 26 May 2009, 20:25, archived)
I feel sorry for whoever is getting one of my Random Burn CDs
they're getting "Turtle Power" by Partners in Kryme

As for food - I fancy some fish and chips
(, Tue 26 May 2009, 20:26, archived)
Ha ha
NOICE. Mine's got The Darkness on it. And Abba.
(, Tue 26 May 2009, 20:27, archived)
I haven't sent mine out yet
I need to re-think mine. 15 songs puts the CD at 2 hours. I could send out an MP3 CD, or I could do another random and cut it down to only 70 minutes.

Now I've moved and finally unpacked, I've got time to actually sort this out.
(, Tue 26 May 2009, 20:28, archived)
I thought I'd do 5 different ones instead of 5 all the same
One is almost exclusively chillout, whilst the others are a mad mix of stuff
(, Tue 26 May 2009, 20:29, archived)
I got one today!
But I don't know who it's from :(
(, Tue 26 May 2009, 20:35, archived)
Bah,
Some people are silly.
(, Tue 26 May 2009, 20:37, archived)
She put a label with her real name and address on it...
but that's not much help.
(, Tue 26 May 2009, 20:39, archived)
Hurrah!
Mystery solved - thank you Blue!
(, Tue 26 May 2009, 20:44, archived)
Actually, that's a pretty good tune

(, Tue 26 May 2009, 21:05, archived)
Yes
I had roast vegetables and chicken. It was good.
(, Tue 26 May 2009, 20:26, archived)
I drunk a frijj and ate a genoa cake

(, Tue 26 May 2009, 20:28, archived)
It's a bit late, isn't it?
I had some toast.
(, Tue 26 May 2009, 20:29, archived)
I thought that too
But I eat like an old lady these days.

(, Tue 26 May 2009, 20:37, archived)
I had a bacon butty for my tea
There you go

My recipe
Garlic Paste
Ginger Paste
Green Curry Paste
Peanut Butter
Salt
Pepper
Sesame Oil
Chinese Pickles

Fry with Chinese Style smoked Bacon, thinly sliced and Chicken
Add coconut milk

Serve with egg noodles and Chinese pickles.
(, Tue 26 May 2009, 20:33, archived)
It was very tasty
although it could have done with some more vegetables, I should have added onions.
(, Tue 26 May 2009, 20:34, archived)
that's a pretty shit bacon sandwich

(, Tue 26 May 2009, 20:35, archived)
The bacon looked like this
www.worldonaplate.org/.a/6a00d83455a06b69e2010536b61f6c970c-800wi

except even more like a rope.
It would not have been suitable for a sandwich.
(, Tue 26 May 2009, 20:38, archived)
they're like anti-semitic christmas decorations

(, Tue 26 May 2009, 20:40, archived)
Without the bacon that sounds ace
I also have no idea what Chinese pickles are.
(, Tue 26 May 2009, 20:39, archived)
This particular one was pickled radisha nd chili

(, Tue 26 May 2009, 20:40, archived)
I pickled some radishes once, they were ace.
I worried my mum by doing that, she thought I might poison myself or something. As if the reason they're not customarily pickled in this country is that it transforms them into something deadly. I wish I was making this up.
(, Tue 26 May 2009, 20:44, archived)
I have no trouble believing that you are the progeny of massive spastics.

(, Tue 26 May 2009, 21:43, archived)
sometimes I wonder how I'm as sane as I am

(, Tue 26 May 2009, 21:48, archived)
what, wait what?
without bacon?

no bacon?
(, Tue 26 May 2009, 20:41, archived)
Correct
I'm sorry if I have upset you.
(, Tue 26 May 2009, 20:42, archived)
if bacon didn't exist a lot of dishes would be worse off, even dishes that didn't include bacon

(, Tue 26 May 2009, 20:45, archived)
That's not true
Bacon is only really good in a bacon butty and even then it can be a let down.
(, Tue 26 May 2009, 20:49, archived)
now you're pushing things just a little too far.

(, Tue 26 May 2009, 20:50, archived)
Sorry

(, Tue 26 May 2009, 20:52, archived)
I'm genuinely disgusted

(, Tue 26 May 2009, 20:44, archived)
Your chaviness knows no bounds.
That boy has wealth beyond imagining and yet you forces you to eat THERE.

Wait till I see him, I'll carve my name into his behind with a fresh switch of willow.
