merely the statement of my exhaustion after a good but busy day. the sudden family was my dad so that meant my granny, my aunt and uncle and my mum came along too. we had a big picnic in my garden
(, Sun 10 Jul 2005, 19:23, archived)

I've not seen my dad for 15 months since I went over to visit him (I was six months pregnant). apart from when she was newborn that's the only time he'd seen the ratbag, and he'd never met the gannet. my dad's a twat and a bastard, but I still miss him and it's nice to see him

(, Sun 10 Jul 2005, 19:26, archived)
Sudden family?
So you sprogged again without knowing you were pregnant?
Then ate it?
Then got stressed out by a court case about the murder of your baby, held outside in the sunshine?
All that would make one pretty tired, I suppose.

dear radio listeners
you have your own board, fuck off to it.

edit: i seem to remember the bennies have offered their board for non-FTL show chat.
(, Sun 10 Jul 2005, 19:09, archived)
its not ftl
so we technically dont
(, Sun 10 Jul 2005, 19:10, archived)
This isn't an FTL show,
but I agree there's no reason why all radio chat can't take place there.
(, Sun 10 Jul 2005, 19:10, archived)
but then why should we
?
(, Sun 10 Jul 2005, 19:11, archived)
Because not everyone here is listening
and it's annoying to see post after post about something and not have a clue what's going on.
(, Sun 10 Jul 2005, 19:12, archived)
yeah fair enough
but there's nowt much going on here anyway
(, Sun 10 Jul 2005, 19:13, archived)
Fair point
If the bennies have offered their board
(, Sun 10 Jul 2005, 19:13, archived)
Yes.
There's no reason why that board couldn't be used for radio talk.
(, Sun 10 Jul 2005, 19:15, archived)
I heartily agree,
but my opinion doesn't count.

I saw a van with "Jesus Army" written on the side yesterday.

I think you're being a mini bit ott,
it's hardly as if the board is flooded with posts!

(, Sun 10 Jul 2005, 19:13, archived)
i just come back from dinner and the only new posts
have been radio related.
(, Sun 10 Jul 2005, 19:14, archived)
Two in a row
is enough of a flood for me.
The second post could have been a reply to the first, even.
(, Sun 10 Jul 2005, 19:13, archived)
I do agree with what you say.
Mind you, they knocked a post off the board that was 4 hours old.
(, Sun 10 Jul 2005, 19:16, archived)
they knocked a post off the board that was 4 hours old
have they no shame
(, Sun 10 Jul 2005, 19:18, archived)
That's not the point.
I'd rather have no posts at all than posts which most people don't understand.
(, Sun 10 Jul 2005, 19:18, archived)
pfft
come on Comma who the fuck actually understands all the posts on B3ta?
(, Sun 10 Jul 2005, 19:19, archived)
What I'm saying
is that "Woo, great song"-style posts are only understandable if you've been listening to the radio while that song was on, so it immediately excludes all but a handful of people.
(, Sun 10 Jul 2005, 19:21, archived)
and you're perfectly correct
but that handful are also b3tans aren't they?
and therefore entitiled to use the board?
(, Sun 10 Jul 2005, 19:23, archived)
But there are other boards
that they could use without upsetting anybody.
(, Sun 10 Jul 2005, 19:25, archived)
but you post here when you listen to me
don't you?

pots and kettles?
(, Sun 10 Jul 2005, 19:25, archived)
have I upset you?
If so I do apologise.

the board was rather quiet and chatcanstill continue

I'm an old fart Comma
and no polyphonic spree I'm afraid (I know you really like them too)
I shall acquire a few tunes for next time

I'll play some daft stuff in the meantime.

I've just wasted several minutes of my life reading some blogs.
I'd always been of the opinion that blogging is a waste of time unless you are some incredibly interesting person (and very few bloggers are), but I hadn't realised just how self obsessed, pretentious and fucking boring bloggers are. The next time someone tells me they have a blog, I will go and read it. If it isn't a thrilling, interesting and intellectually challenging work of art I will tell them to give it up next time I meet them. If they persist in their inane online ramblings the only remaining option is the flamethrower.

Why can't people just keep a personal diary?

I made a My Space when all the cool kids were doing it
I posted twice. Once to say I had no need for a blog, and then to say I still had no need for a blog but that I had a really cool monkey.
(, Sun 10 Jul 2005, 18:14, archived)
Do you still have this monkey?

(, Sun 10 Jul 2005, 18:15, archived)
Hell yes
(He may be cuddly and not actually real though.)

He is lully.
That is in fact one of the best blogs ever to exist. It stopped after 2 posts, one of which had a monkey, and the other made fun of blogs.

American happy slappers in a car.
The one doing the slapping hangs out the door and gets a cyclist round the head.

The force, however, pulls the dude out of the car and he gets hit in the face by a car coming up the other way.

It's been on ebaum for ages, I even linked to it when I updated the wikipedia page on Happy Slapping (I was that bored).

I never noticed he got hit by a car, I just thought he fell out of the car.
