"The Portsmouth Sinfonia was a real orchestra founded by a group of students at Portsmouth School of Art in Portsmouth, England, in 1970 — however, the Sinfonia had an unusual entrance requirement. Players had to be either non-musicians, or if a musician, play an instrument that was entirely new to them."

they released a Hooked On Classics-style single of classical favourites with a clap track backing. Started with this, included Beethoven's 5th, 1812 overture, Hallelujah chorus, etc. Completely excellent and very silly. I must still have it in a box somewhere.

This would be what a band made up entirely of people with my natural ability for music would sound like.

At about 0.50 i was bracing in preperation for what would come, but nothing could have prepared me for that musical catastrophy.

First video I've watched/listened to three times in a row straight, and cackled all the way through.
I love the mentalist improvisation in the last twenty seconds.
Utterly brilliant!

That was almost as cringe-worthy as my sister playing guitar and singing "My Favorite Things" at my mother's memorial service last week.
