This is a link post The Youtube Algorithm popped this up on my feed
Thought I'd post it here because I'm interested to see what you lot thought about it. My thoughts were that it certainly framed a long-standing talking point differently than I'd heard before, and that made me think more deeply about some things I hadn't given as much thought to previously.

This is a normal post Very Americocentric, seems to overcomplicate some simple stuff (and over simplify some complicated stuff), but I agreed with about 85% of it.
The meat of the matter - the selection and targeting of folk demons (e.g. people who are trans) - was only really glossed over in a few statements over a 30 minute video.

WRT the 4 types of white people (oversimplified), the writer/narrator appears to think he is above the argument and, I guess, is trying to appeal to people who think the same way.

This is a normal post Yeah
I had similar thoughts, quite simplified, mostly agreed except for a few points. Some of his other videos make good points about how to deal with certain people on the internet effectively. Again though, they are simplified and americocentric.

This is a link post Centuries of Sound - 1943 I made this!
So it's been a while (life, etc)

Now up as a single streamable mix, my 4.5 hour soundscape of 1943, the year the record business closed down. Music of all sorts, radio, film soundtrack, speeches and found sound are used to paint a vivid picture of this most turbulent of years.

I put all of this out as 12 individual podcasts over the last 6 weeks (still up there! just search for "centuries of sound" in yr podcast app of choice) but this is the first time it has been available on Mixcloud for non-subscribers.

The world is more innocent now he's gone.

But seriously, he was a very nice man, always waited to clear the line at signings, always drew something for people in public no matter how much of a dick they were or if he was eating or something, worked really hard and unfortunately left his wife and two kids.

Very sad. I'm going to miss him.
RIP.
