Everyone on here's so helpful...
...so I seek your counsel on a potentially prickly subject. Pubes - should I shave them off? I'm bored, and just got the idea to whip 'em off (not literally, of course, I'm thinking a Stanley knife and a bit of soap should suffice).

Why the hesitancy, you ask? Well, a mate of mine did it once, and said that afterwards he looked "like the last Turkey on the shelf". Although, obviously in my case I'd look like the last Python on the shelf (cough).

So, Votes please - 'Yes' or 'No' to the proposition, with the reason for your vote.

I promise (places hand on all 4 volumes of the Absolute Editions of The Sandman) to abide by the winning total as at 6pm tomorrow night.

Cheers!

*Edit - the score is 10 'No' and 8 'Yes' votes as of 10.40am. Looks like I'm staying like a member of the Hair Bear Bunch at the moment, tho you never know - there may be a late splurge from the 'Shaven Raver' crew!

I'm standing by with me trusty Bic - final results in at 6pm...

Yet again more whinging about the HSH thread. *sigh*
I'm angry dammit.

All this talk of HSH and how crap it was.

It's like going into the playground and saying I want to play but I don't want to play your game, I want all of us to play mine.

Nobody makes you join the thread and if it goes fluffy then it's because that is what it is.

It really pisses me off.

Help please.
For some unknown reason ITunes won't open on my laptop (I've used it before on here :\). I've tried restarting, updating my firewall, reinstalling it and it still won't work.

Anyone any idea what the hell it's doing? Any help would be much appreciated.

Does anyone here have anything to do with University College London?
I've just gone for an utterly super job there and I just wanted to know if anyone knows what the place is like as an employer?

What is bringing you to musical orgasm at the moment? I want recommendations.

I have fallen madly in love with My Dying Bride very recently. The new one, 'The Lies I Sire' is tremendous.

DAMN YOU, VILE WOMAN!
This woman in the office has just got back from a holiday in Cyprus and has brought in sweets to share, as is the custom. The problem is she's brought in two boxes of Cyprus Delight (like Turkish Delight, but don't say that to a Cypriot). Nobody in the office can stand the stuff, so it's just sitting there. Nobody even opened it for a couple of days, and I think a visitor has had one piece.

This would just be unfortunate and a bit sad, if it weren't for the fact that she's visited Cyprus twice a year for the past few years (I think she has relatives there) and she does the same thing every time.

FOR THE LOVE OF GOD BUY SOMETHING ELSE AND STOP MAKING PASSIVE AGGRESSIVE "OOH, THESE AREN'T GOING DOWN VERY FAST" COMMENTS.

Anyone in your office who just WILL NOT LEARN?

Morons
I was in Charleston, South Carolina, last week, and happened to be in a museum there, looking at a display on the native Americans and what they did before us Europeans turned up and wiped them out. Anyway, there was a timeline at the top of the display, going back as far as 12000 years ago (up to present day), and I had the jaw dropping pleasure/horror of overhearing a young boy turn to his father and say (in a BROAD Southern USA accent) 'But poppa, that can't be true, there wasn't a world 12000 years ago!'.

And his father replied 'Yeah, that's strange, it's only 2009 years old. Oh well, they must have got it wrong. It probably means 1200 years ago. Let's go and look at some guns.'

It was all I could do to keep my eyes from popping out in astonishment.

Just WTF.

Someone recommend me a good Flash game
Work is really dragging today.

I like puzzles and strategy more than arcade type stuff.

The death of the HSH thread
has meant that I have done no work today. Hopefully my gamecube should be here tomorrow, but that means that I have to do lots of work today so I can spend tomorrow playing with it as I have college on Friday.

Not to sully the derth of interesting threads on here in the slightest as it's been a good day on OT for the first time in ages.

Whatever happened to....
the bloke who used to post on QOTW a fair bit, fucked off to Dubai, gloated at his good fortune, then had a bit of a wobble when it all went tits up after he'd arranged for all his stuff to be moved over etc.

Just curious as to how the sotry finished.

Fun with anagrams
So, pissing about with anagram genius, I find out my friend's name can be rearranged to say "The wheezier labia fart".

Good times. Shame I can't tell her, she's very religious.

My band and I have finally got something recorded at a quality I'm happy to share with you.
Not a 100% final version, but here you go:
Ghosts

Dunno what to describe it as really. General rock with some shouty bits.

Film recommendation!
I watched JCVD last night, and I have to say, my respect for Van Damme just rose about fifty points. The Muscles From Brussels is actually pretty funny, and a good actor.

My favorite moment: when he demonstrates a roundhouse kick to knock a cigarette out of a guy's mouth, and then sits back and watches another guy try to duplicate it while wearing a "what kind of ass clowns are these twits" expression as the guy gets a full kick to the jaw.

I do have to wonder, though: how close to real life was the story? Did he really go through a child custody case?

Stephen Hawking.
I was amazed to see that he is 67 and said to Mrs Tugnut2 how well he looked for his age.

'Erm not really' was her response 'he has a motor neuron problem, is wheelchair bound and his head lolls to the side.' which are decent points but a rather half empty way of looking at things.

How old does he look?

Things to do during a Brussels weekend visit?
Spurred on by The Supreme Crow's thread, does anyone have suggestions for two twenty-somethings to do when visiting Brussels for the weekend? Neither of us have been before and both of us have passable French if that helps...

Shagging and drinking are already on the list so something we can fit around that would be great. ;)

Following on from a conversation with a mate
when you go out for a night out, do you change your bed sheets first or have a trim down below in anticipation of getting some?

*clearly has sex on the brain today*

B3ta travel guide - Croatia
Bit of a shot in the dark, but have any Off-topic types been to Dubrovnik before?

I'm headed there next week and trying to book some accommodation whilst I've got 5 minutes to spare. Unfortunately the hostel I was planning to book has several unfavourable reviews, many of which mention a curfew. So, whilst I trawl the internet for other similarly cheap but less crap options, does anybody know of a good place to stay? (Or any to avoid, for that matter?)

Right...
I've got a song recorded.
My drummer can't remember the login to the myspace for the band, 'cos he's a bit simple.
I want to put it somewhere online so I can give people a link to listen to it.
It's 4314K.

Recommendations please?

Fucking Royal mail
have pissed me off. I ordered a games console yesterday - stupid I know as I'm not getting paid for two weeks - heard the buzzer go and by the time I got to the door he'd fucked off and left a note to say I have to collect it.

What have they done recently to piss you off?

Budget details
I just had a look at the BBC website and Darling of the Treasury has announced a 2p rise in fuel duty from September, then a 1p-above-inflation rise next year.

But that means if the RPI is strongly negative next year, even 1p above inflation could constitute a decrease in fuel duty. Bet he's not reckoning on that one.

Awesome chocolate
I'm eating a lion bar for the first time in many months and it's dawned on me: All the good chocolate has been around for ages.

The closest I can come to any "new" chocolate that's good is the kinder stuff which, if I'm not mistaken, was sold on the continent for quite some time before it became widely available here a few years back.

Budget Time..
Darling is in the process of fucking this country over (even more than Brown did)...

Where would you make savings and how?

Personally, I'd scrap duty on beer, wine, fags and petrol and instead, I'd cancel the state pension.

Give it a generation or two and we'll have drunk or smoked ourselves to an early grave, we've had a whale of a time in the process and the books will balance.

I see absolutely no flaw with this plan whatsoever.

So, what would you do?

Mullered.

what's your best invention?
mine has got to be the iron (steam iron) that is the shape of a car and makes car noises as you push it around.

or:

a bong that looks like a big revolver. you put the barrel in your mouth and pull the trigger which simultaneously rotates the chamber, presenting a new mix to the flame, while sparking a lighter to light it.
