and just ate the leftovers for lunch.
It was so good I'm going to share with you the recipe.
1. Chop one large red onion and add to hot pan with some oil
2. Add 5 or 6 good quality pork sausages
3. Crush two large cloves of garlic and add to pan
4. cook until sausages are browned and remove them from the pan.
5. Add a load of chopped mushrooms and two chopped leeks to the pan
6. Cut sausages into bite-sized pieces and return to pan
7. Add two large glasses of red wine. One to the pan, one to your stomach.
8. Simmer for a while until reduced a bit
9. Stir in 2-3 tablespoons of flour and stir in. Add more flour of necessary, you want this quite gooey.
9b. Season well.
10. Tip pan contents into a deep pie dish
11. Add enough beef stock to cover everything and stir.
12. Throw in a couple of bay leaves
13. Cook in the oven, uncovered for about half an hour on about 200 degrees C. Until it has thickened.
14. Using ready made puff pastry create a lid and drape over the pie.
15. Return to the oven until lid has risen and gone golden brown.
16. Devour!

before I start, yes I did put the right bloody type of petrol in, I am not that much of a fucking idiot.
Has anyone in the last couple of weeks filled up with Petrol from Tescos, especially in the cambs / suffolk area and found the car to be shit, sluggish, stalling and mis-firing horribly?
I slung in £15 at Esso today and now its fine, but that last tank of fuel was shit!

Paste it in here.
I've got the terribly boring:
"I will have to ask if people need to use the whole cluster for producing MC data in the next 2 weeks but"
what does everyone else have?
Kudos if it's part of the bizarre star wars-themed furry bdsm fantasy you're working on during your lunchbreaks.

Remember Operation? FOund out earlier that there's a Brain Surgery version, where you're picking stuff out the back of a skull.
Is it worth emailing them and seeing if they're going to produce a gynaecology version?

How many of you are reading B3ta but have Word/Excel/other office software (but not limited to MS Office) open in the background containing what you're meant to be doing?

... and since today is my 32nd getting-old-and-past-it day, I beg your guidance.
On my left I have one bag of sweets. On my right I have another. Each is intact. Which should I open first?
Sweets

If the B3ta servers caught fire again, or get caught in a tornado/earthquake/volcano combination, or maybe even had some planes fly into them, what would you all go off and do instead?

More help for the Dim one...
Is there a reliable website that will tell you what's going on in Leeds for the upcoming week in terms of gigs, comedians and the like?
Cheers

I have finally triumphed over the clumsy crappiness of IDL and my own general ineptitude!
Sorry, it's been a long slog over the last few days and I just felt the need to tell someone...

I've just been informed that mu nephew wants an electronic drum kit for christmas!
I know nothing about these things and have been told that it must have a headphone socket. He's just starting so it doesn't have to be anything fancy.
Could some kind soul help me out here?

My friends and I went out "for dinner". We met a friend at the pub. Friend asks if I want a drink. I say yes. "You're going to need it" she says, and points to my mum, her boyfriend and two family friends. They came out to surprise me.
They left November 27th, which happens to be Thanksgiving day this year, which I have to either spend alone or go to the bosses house.
That was the last time I saw her. I miss her so much. Can I just cancel this year?

that the model I've been working on for a couple of months, with little success has finally worked.
I'm having to resist the urge to do my victory dance.
What were you successful at recently?

My sister sent me a lovely piece of wisdom this evening:
A wise man once said, "You should treat your woman like you treat your hoover: when she stops sucking, replace the fucking bag."
Presonally, I find this to be a good bit of advice. Too bad I'm a girl though.

3 of my 3.5 tattoos are my own designs. I'd really like another one, incorporating one of my favourite Greek proverbs ("a heart that loves is always young") but cannot settle on the style of heart I'd like with it. So many of the commercial designs are on the cheesy side. The alternative would be a cracking image of Aphrodite. Any friendly/arty b3tans have any suggestions?
