Something well fucking weird happened last night.
There was a knock at our door at about 11:15.

Lusty answered the door and there was a man stood there. Literally two seconds later four plain clothes coppers appeared and grabbed him. Really not at all sure what was going on there. I think perhaps he’d be going round knocking on doors to see if people were out with a view to burglary, and someone had called the old bill. They then questioned him right outside our door for about fifteen minutes, we could hear him refusing to give his address or explain what he was up to. He may just have been completely mental.

So, 14 years of Google eh? Coh! Amazing. What a crazy rollercoaster of a business, yeah?

I understand that for shopping, many people are tending to use Amazon as a kind of retail Google. My firm sells on Amazon but also pays for ads on there much as we do on Google, where our ad spend is down. As retail ad revenue entirely funds Google, does this mean their days are numbered? If you search Google for free information and Amazon to spend money, they're fucked in the long run.

Is this a good thing? In one respect yes, a load of Segway-riding wankers will get the chop and hopfully die, but think about it, yeah? A Google-less world. Wow, man. Are they evil monopolists CONTROLLING THE INFO-VERSE (I just made that up) or is it just common sense to have a single main search engine? The Jeeves is a massive prick though, I ent askin him NUFFINK.

Invade Poland?
So now that my six month contract is up, I have been offered 4 months’ work in Poland. Good money, a flat, flights for family etc. However, I am not sure about it, as I don’t want to be apart from my wife & daughter and can’t ask my Mrs to spend a lot of time there, when she doesn’t know anyone, doesn’t speak the language and there is little for her to do. Should I take the job or not?
