I'm sad that I missed out on that there London shenanigans
so tell me everything that happened and tell me something about each of the b3tans that you met In Real Life that will shock and amaze me.

Or tell me what you had for breakfast and how it could have been better. I haven't had anything but I'm in the mood for french toast so now anything I have will be a culinary disappointment.
(, Mon 21 Jun 2010, 8:08, 255 replies, latest was 15 years ago)
I had half a slice of toast before running out the door because I was late for school.
it'll be better tomorrow because I'll have the time to finish my breakfast. :D
(, Mon 21 Jun 2010, 8:21, Reply)
Ahh bless I forget you're a young 'un sometimes
I couldn't be late for school because there was only one bus where I used to live and it waited for you, which was useful.
(, Mon 21 Jun 2010, 8:53, Reply)
I drive to school now.
But I overslept and woke up at 8 am, and it's a 20 minute drive to and from school, and I basically got up, shoved on my uniform, packed my bag while waiting for the toast to pop and grabbed my toothbrush. I just made it in time for assembly.
They get grouchy if you're late for assembly - apparently being at my year level and being late is a bad example for the little 'uns... :(
(, Mon 21 Jun 2010, 9:05, Reply)
Turn up after assembly claiming religious freedom.
I pretended to be Jewish for years.
(, Mon 21 Jun 2010, 9:34, Reply)
I had trouble getting to sleep last night which is not something that happens to me very often.
And I had crazy dreams, add on some family drama and I'm in a grumpy mood.
(, Mon 21 Jun 2010, 9:09, Reply)
what kinda crazy dreams did you have?
I have ridiculously vivid dreams every night.
(, Mon 21 Jun 2010, 9:13, Reply)
Yeah if it was me in your room with a big knife that was definitely a dream OK?

(, Mon 21 Jun 2010, 9:15, Reply)
I sincerely hope that you're not lying to me about the dream bit.

(, Mon 21 Jun 2010, 9:18, Reply)
Certainly not
but you really should change those curtains they're hideous.
(, Mon 21 Jun 2010, 11:19, Reply)
I know they are.
maroon curtains look hideous anywhere. :(
They keep the room warm though.
(, Mon 21 Jun 2010, 13:30, Reply)
Oooo! all sorts of stuff.
The only bits I can remember are buying a bed and wild horses stampeding me while I was cooking food on a gas stove outside some random persons home.

ahaha awesome!
Last night I dreamt I was in the TARDIS with Matt Smith and he put a bowtie on me and then locked me in the Pandorica. I cried.

I was going to go, even got all dressed up to go, but then it started thundering and I realised an england match was on and I didn't want to be in town on a match-day, and my back was playing up all week so I didn't wanna be stuck having to get a cab.
And I was all like "Oh woe is me, cruel world, I'll make you pay, god damn you world, god damn you to hell.", but then the next day I was like "=/ dude, shouldda totally made the effort", but it was to late.
(, Mon 21 Jun 2010, 9:11, Reply)
You'll live with that regret for the rest of your life now Gonz.

(, Mon 21 Jun 2010, 9:18, Reply)

I still can't believe that happened.
Lampito is ace.
(, Mon 21 Jun 2010, 9:25, Reply)

Applebite, Bill and Amberl all got the same treatment.

Yes but what is important is that you snogged po-faced Chompy.
For that you should be applauded.
(, Mon 21 Jun 2010, 9:30, Reply)
I agree with this

I saw the pic too
Mainly because, very briefly, I was tagged in it by Applebite. This confused me greatly, as I'm pretty sure I'm not Chompy or Lampito.
(, Mon 21 Jun 2010, 9:47, Reply)
she tagged me too briefly
I think it was to draw our attention to it so we could applaud.

I'll have to echo Lampito and apologise for my behaviour. I definitely remember being belligerent
(, Mon 21 Jun 2010, 10:20, Reply)
B3tans eh?
Spikeypickle is now one of my best mates, and was the first I ever met.
Lampito is a cracking laugh, and an amusing drunk.
BGB is lovely, but dangerous when drunk (I've still not recovered!)
Bear Pookie seems to be permenantly drunk
Enzyme is far too intelligent, it scares me
Aberracion is lovely, and her engagement ring is gorgeous
Completely_Underwhelmed is far too shy for her own good
Applebite seemed terrified by all these weirdos from the internet (don't blame her really)
Plentyofants is a good laugh, scares me with his local knowledge though...

And for breakfast this morning I had a swig of Arak. Needed it
(, Mon 21 Jun 2010, 9:31, Reply)
Good news everyone, I'm back
I haven't met any B3tans in real life as I'm a horrid sweaty internet freak with piss stained pants and pervert eyes.

And it tastes much better than cow milk in ovaltine as well.

Morning
it was lovely to meet people. Most were less scary than I thought, I was drunker than I thought, and people ended up being called by their username or their real name as it sprung to mind.
(, Mon 21 Jun 2010, 10:18, Reply)
I've found that most people tend to pronounce my username wrong
the fools
(, Mon 21 Jun 2010, 10:21, Reply)
I say VIPP-ross
Not Vye-pross.
(, Mon 21 Jun 2010, 10:22, Reply)
and that is another reason why you are my bff

Don't we look boss when we do Snoopy and Woodstock!

(, Mon 21 Jun 2010, 10:35, Reply)
I demand an animated GIF of the two of you dancing together like this.

(, Mon 21 Jun 2010, 10:37, Reply)
When/if I ever meet him
I will promptly get sufficiently drunk to be able to execute this

Most kind, thank you!

EXACTLY

(, Mon 21 Jun 2010, 10:32, Reply)
I used to pronounce it Vipp Ross
but last time we had this discussion I decided the S was silent and it's now Veep-ro, with a poncy French accent.
(, Mon 21 Jun 2010, 10:33, Reply)
Hahah

(, Mon 21 Jun 2010, 10:35, Reply)
"I'll have a glass of the chilled Veep-ro, if you please"
"Of course the '65, what do you take me for?"
(, Mon 21 Jun 2010, 10:36, Reply)
hahah
that's better than Vye-pross at least!
(, Mon 21 Jun 2010, 10:38, Reply)
I particularly enjoyed Applebite's Nail Salon
with her camp assistant djtp asking Al if he was going on holiday this year.
I can also conclude that if Al is ever without his red hoody when I see him, I'll be distraught. I hope he wears it for his wedding.
(, Mon 21 Jun 2010, 10:21, Reply)
That was terrifyingly convincing.
He would have done Al's nails as well, had Al not chickened out at the last minute.
(, Mon 21 Jun 2010, 10:25, Reply)
I know
Good to know if I ever break an arm, which will happen one day. I'm always falling over and have not yet broken a bone.
(, Mon 21 Jun 2010, 10:29, Reply)
Hi everyone
I'm on HOLIDAY this week - and even though I filtered out my work email from my gmail account, I still have a desperate urge to check it for anything going tragically wrong in my absence.

Also reading through this thread I am gutted to have missed the London fun times.

(, Mon 21 Jun 2010, 10:40, Reply)

A little Psychochomplet running around :D
(, Mon 21 Jun 2010, 10:44, Reply)
Surely it'd be a 'Psychopito'?
Ooo! I prefer 'Lampchomp'.
(, Mon 21 Jun 2010, 10:45, Reply)

(, Mon 21 Jun 2010, 10:45, Reply)

what does linkify do?
I just noticed it.
(, Mon 21 Jun 2010, 10:46, Reply)
Turns a web address
Into a link, to save you having to manually type html code.
(, Mon 21 Jun 2010, 10:47, Reply)
But web addresses come up as links anyway

(, Mon 21 Jun 2010, 10:49, Reply)
*sighs*
Then I don't know, lovely Roota.
(, Mon 21 Jun 2010, 10:56, Reply)
I must know!!

(, Mon 21 Jun 2010, 11:01, Reply)
I've told you what it does
I just don't know the point if it does it automagically anyway.
(, Mon 21 Jun 2010, 11:03, Reply)
I SHOULD HOPE NOT

(, Mon 21 Jun 2010, 10:54, Reply)
HOPE?

(, Mon 21 Jun 2010, 10:57, Reply)
Certainly beats my efforts on Friday
(after I'd gone to the Ballroom - I suck at being on the pull, but not to the point that no-one would even notice)

"In that case, I think we owe it to ourselves to find a corner and make out."
"What? No! No we don't."
"...oh..."

I am the DADDY, I tells you.
(, Mon 21 Jun 2010, 10:58, Reply)

(, Mon 21 Jun 2010, 11:02, Reply)
not as smooth
as my taxi drivers attempt :(
(, Mon 21 Jun 2010, 11:02, Reply)
Is that sadface to suggest
that the taxi driver's skills paid off?
(, Mon 21 Jun 2010, 11:05, Reply)
or that he didn't try hard enough to overcome your defences
even though you secretly wanted it
(, Mon 21 Jun 2010, 11:08, Reply)
I may not have had a proper
date in some time, but I don't think I'm desperate enough for that yet
(, Mon 21 Jun 2010, 11:11, Reply)
I think you are unfairly pre-judging taxi drivers

(, Mon 21 Jun 2010, 11:14, Reply)
Oh come on,
she avoided Chompy because he's a date-rapist, why would she settle for the kind of rapist who won't even take you out first?
(, Mon 21 Jun 2010, 11:16, Reply)
ok, that's a fair point

(, Mon 21 Jun 2010, 11:16, Reply)
indeed it is
he didn't even pay for my taxi-ride the cheapo.

And it's not so much pre-judging taxi drivers, as knowing I don't generally have much in common with them
(, Mon 21 Jun 2010, 11:18, Reply)
I'm not entirely sure why I am standing up for taxi drivers here, but I've started so may as well carry on...
there could be a taxi driver out there who is perfect for you, but you are sweeping him aside with all the rest with your generalisations.

for shame!
(, Mon 21 Jun 2010, 11:20, Reply)
but how likely is that?

(, Mon 21 Jun 2010, 11:22, Reply)
hard to say
it shouldn't be so callously dismissed as a possibility
(, Mon 21 Jun 2010, 11:23, Reply)
I think so
I'm not saying I'd never, but based on the taxi drivers I've met the probability is close to zero
(, Mon 21 Jun 2010, 11:25, Reply)
as long as you accept it as possible
that's all I ask
(, Mon 21 Jun 2010, 11:28, Reply)
"As I looked into his eyes he took the knife away from my throat and we realised we were perfect for each other."

(, Mon 21 Jun 2010, 11:22, Reply)
you are doing very well this morning

(, Mon 21 Jun 2010, 11:22, Reply)
Ta!
I blame lack of sleep and too much caffeine.
(, Mon 21 Jun 2010, 11:24, Reply)
What with not being a rapist and all.

(, Mon 21 Jun 2010, 11:21, Reply)
What was that??

(, Mon 21 Jun 2010, 11:06, Reply)
he was very unsmoothly
staring at me for the whole taxi ride. Then when I got out, he grasped my arm and said 'you're very beautiful you know.' I think I just stared at him in horror
(, Mon 21 Jun 2010, 11:12, Reply)
and that was SMOOTHER than ME?
*rethinks technique*
*decides to go for pity*
*cries*
(, Mon 21 Jun 2010, 11:14, Reply)

(, Mon 21 Jun 2010, 11:15, Reply)

The weekend's looking up, then.

(, Mon 21 Jun 2010, 11:20, Reply)
And I bet he was one of them forrins
They do that.
There was a kerrazy forrin begging if he could have a room in my house as I put out my bins on Tuesday.
(, Mon 21 Jun 2010, 11:14, Reply)
mind you
I'll blame it on the late shift. I just seem to have had a sudden frequency rise in things like that happening to me
(, Mon 21 Jun 2010, 11:16, Reply)
and he was so upset by your rejection he went on a killing spree.

(, Mon 21 Jun 2010, 11:15, Reply)
speaking as one who regularly deals with rejection...

I have just remembered,
my housemate has made a fucking SPREADSHEET to help him keep his CD collection organised.
(, Mon 21 Jun 2010, 11:08, Reply)
I know a couply couple
who keep spreadsheets of their weekly spending, and they compete to see who can spend the least.
It makes me so sad to think about it.
(, Mon 21 Jun 2010, 11:10, Reply)
This is so absolutely wrong that I am unable to comprehend it on a Monday morning.
I shall endeavour to return this afternoon with a witty response.
(, Mon 21 Jun 2010, 11:11, Reply)
I didn't know you used to live with Psychochomp

(, Mon 21 Jun 2010, 11:23, Reply)
Not for long.
I couldn't handle the Saturday mornings, always having to walk some tearful girl, no idea how she'd got there, down to the bus stop.
(, Mon 21 Jun 2010, 11:29, Reply)
You are on top form this morning
*salutes*
(, Mon 21 Jun 2010, 11:30, Reply)
God DAMN I feel poopular this morning :)

EDIT - And I like that typo so much I'm keeping it.
(, Mon 21 Jun 2010, 11:33, Reply)
Well you've all made a rather dull bus ride a lot more amusing now
Special mention to Wookie for when I'm licking windows. You owe me a bottle of cherry coke since mine now has mysteriously vanished and made a puddle.

Friday was lots of fun although I didn't get to speak to applehead/bite, I can never remember which one you are as much as I wanted to.
