But she looked and always sounded like a great lady and I was shocked by the terrible news. Felt it only fitting to post something in her honour.

I haven't been on /board for a long, long time since the hummus dried up but it's lovely to see this community spirit - reminds me what I miss about this place.

Terrible news. I'm feeling like I might get back into the b3ta swing in a week or so... I've missed this place, but now isn't the time.

and I am horrified and upset.
Poor Jessie. Poor Prof Kenny.
Jessie so was full of life, so full of shit (I sometimes teased her about that) and such a top chick!

Yeah.
I felt a kinship with her, being a strong no-nonsense type of woman who spoke her mind.
It's just so tragic and such a senseless loss.
Life can sometimes just turn on a sixpence. The fragility of it smacks us in the face with such horrific news.

I haven't been on /board in ages... But they were both spot on peoples.
Is she the one who did the milestone animation, dancing behind the chalkboard?

I've been keeping quiet since i saw this yesterday as I've only been here a week, and never met Jessie or seen any of her work. But I feel I should say that seeing all your posts I'm saddened that we never met and I can only hope one day so many people will miss me with such vigour. This is a truly amazing send off and my heart goes out to you all.

but there does seem to be a common thread that runs through most b3tans

When it comes down to it, when all is said and done, all of us, b3tans every one, are a bunch of Cunts really ;)

if you'd told me a few years back i'd be genuinely saddened by the death of someone i'd only met in person a couple of times via a puerile internet message board i'd have laughed in your face, but.......

I don't know if this proves that there is a hint of decency and humanity in everyone or just really shows how awesome Jessie was.

I've been trying to find pics of the first Derby bash that was down the Bless (I think 2006). Anyone got any links?
Thanks

Thanks

Also, Rotating Wobbly Hat posted an album of all the pics he has of Jessie. Let me just run and find it for you.

I should imagine he was probably at the first b3ta bash too.
