Battle Truck, AKA Warlords of the 21st Century (1982)
Amazingly good bad film/amazingly bad good film.
Features an impressive cast of himoffs and wotziznames.
The soundtrack has a professional orchestra and also a guitarist with severely limited understanding of key and timing.

In fairness to Battletruck, the similarities are superficial and it does its own thing.

ooh, ooh, ooh
Many many years ago, somewhere in the eighties, there was a really shitty US TV series about truck drivers fighting crime. They drove rather ridiculous futuristic articulated trucks. Anyone else remember this or am I hallucinating again?

I bet you watch a lot of videos with the title format "X destroys Y"
One revelation from Alex Jones bitter divorce/custody hearings was that he gave sworn testimony that he doesn't hold the opinions he expresses through inforwars and webcasts, that it is a persona he created for entertainment purposes. Interestingly, this admission had no impact on his popularity with his followers. Maybe they think it was a double bluff. It's a bit like the Bigfoot hoax, even when the originator revealed the hoax and showed the fake feet he used, it didn't stop a subsequent army of people who now believe in bigfoot. Beliefs are quite sticky

Bigfoot enthusiasts believe they communicate by knocking on hollow trees
So now american forests are full of people banging on trees at each other thinking the person banging back is a bigfoot.

I *love* practical effects.
I was a massive fan of early CGI, watched Siggraph every year when BBC2 used to be an advocate for animation, love early Pixar (Luxor Jr, Red's Dream), watched T2 the other night and reminisced about how groundbreaking that looked at the time...
But modern CGI can fuck right off...give me models and prosthetics and in-camera effects every time!

CGI has its uses
Check out how they made The Mandalorian.
The Minions films are worth mentioning too; sometimes I could swear I was watching stop motion.

O'Sullivan 147 in under a minute
I made this!
I didn't feel like Ronnie O'Sullivan's record maximum break of 5 minutes 20 seconds was fast enough, so I sped it up by cutting out all the guff.

I was thinking of Timbuk 3
Though I've a feeling it turns up in the film with 'Science' in the title, possibly a John Hughes 80s comedy.
Correction, that was Weird Science which was 2 years earlier, probably Tommy Boy

Tim knows EXACTLY what he is doing.
He’s played “injured innocent” for at least a decade now.
Edit: and he still carries it off perfectly for new videos, but once you’ve seen a few you know he is totally in on the dirty jokes..

“Dark” seems an odd word
But ever since Tim showed the dildo off, years and years ago, (which may well have been innocent then) I can’t believe he walks into these things totally innocently any more.
