Terrahawks is on there too but I never saw that one. I’m working my way through Captain Scarlet and Stingray instead. I’m starting to wonder if Marina was mute because they were only willing to pay for one female voice actor.

The theme from Joe90 is one of the best telly intros of all time, along with Taggart and Blake's 7.

I'm an ignorant engineer so for me, he was just a geezer who caused a kerfuffle with his racy writing last century. Then I watched The Menace of the Masses and it caused me quite a bit of discomfort. So I did some knob twiddling. Posted here for your delight - or ridicule.

I tell the Chatterley story a lot to visitors to Westminster Abbey, but recently have started concluding with "he's gone so out of fashion as a writer that I'm wondering if he was any good". But I still mutter a curse on his behalf every time I go into a branch of Boots. He fucking hated Boots and what they did to Nottingham.

It's mainly an instrumental but the intro uses edited clips of his writing - hopefully not as biased as the current BBC/Trump interview editing rumpus.
Hope you enjoy the music though :-)

it was a very big deal in Australia in the 60s, basically some blokes distributed enough pirate copies that particular banned book that the whole concept of book censorship fell apart and everyone loosened up a bit. Owning one was kind of a way for suburban dads to show they were hip, as his mates also had it. I never read it cover to cover, but flicked through it looking for the rooting as a teenager. However given that in the 80s the dads also all had stashes of Color Climax danish porn, it was all a bit tame by then,
its a nice groove

When I worked at a polymer R&D centre, we had both fume cupboards and positive pressure ventilation in the labs. Air was pumped from outside and through vents in the ceiling, pushed the air in the room out.

Welding cars is probably much more dangerous and commonly done. The metal spray is just that, metal. With welding vehicles, burning paint, underseal, zinc rust proofer, other metal fumes and that's before taking into account fuel lines, pvc insulated wiring, grinding etc.
Edit: That isn't dangerous work, this is

Biden was a terrible president and rightly crucified for that when it happened, but if Trump does the same thing nobody cares. It's handwaved away as "but the other team did it" and completely ignores the fact that nobody should be doing it.
(, Sat 8 Nov 2025, 11:21, Reply)
His policies might not be as popular, and he may not be as personable, but he's been significantly more effectual.
His effectiveness might be based entirely on fear and manipulation rather than diplomacy and finesse, but it's getting results. Biden was weak and stupid, Trump is strong and dumb.
You might not like what a 19 stone, baseball bat-wielding musclebound retard with the temperament of a toddler is telling you to do, but you're more likely to comply with him than the doddery octogenarian shaking his zimmerframe at you.

CBO estimates $3tn of debt from OBBBA, spending $75bn of US tax payers money making ICE the largest federal law enforcement agency when 65% of the people they take have no convictions, still not released the files, spends nearly 25% of his days playing golf, getting party donors to spend nearly $300m to add shit to the white house in return for massive tax breaks, DOGE cuts fell particularly heavily on any of the departments that regulate Musk's business, massive cuts to Medicaid for millions of people.
That's aside from the actual corruption - $3bn mostly from crypto, $300 Qatar plane, $36m from CBS, massive drone contract to his family.
