Alright, bastards?
I have just been to the loo. You don't need to know the details, but when it came to wiping I noticed that her indoors has bought a certain brand of loo paper (that rhymes with 'Charming') that has imprints of bears on it. That put me right off, wiping myself on the face of a bear.

Otherwise, let the bickering, sniping and cuntery commence!

Grandma.
I know this has been covered before, but I couldn't trust the scamps at yahoo answers, I swear they're like talk talk and make things up on the spot....

Now big question - should it grammatically be - would have, or would of?

Oystercard question
I made some enquiries this morning and apparently I can get a newfangled travelcard on my oyster to get to work each day to cover zones 1-3. My destination doesn't have working oyster machines though and wont be installing them until October - they're a bit backwards South of the river it seems - so will I be charged the extortionate fare each time I go to work?

Also, I only work 4 days a week - I know it's tough being me - but will need to go in on weekends sometimes, so the day I don't use, can I carry that over to the new week if that makes sense or do I lose it instead?

"We're goin' ta bonnydoon.."
Whenever I'm going on a trip, I get this song in my head and sing it ad nauseum until m'ladyfriend tells me to shut up.

I'm going to Istanbul tomorrow.

Points if you can name the film the song comes from.

Since I work in an office by myself
I don't bother closing the toilet door when having a wee, or a poo for that matter.

The other day I was heading home and I put my bag in the car and nipped back in for a wee, leaving the front door open. It only occurred to me part way through that it could have caused some embarrassment if someone were to come in only to be confronted by a large beard chap loudly urinating whilst humming and swaying his hips from side to side in an attempt to cover as much of the bowl as possible.

When have you last done something you should have thought better of?

My fact for the day:
Trained dolphins and sea lions can find submerged divers. Both can see, and hear direction of sound well underwater, and dolphins have natural sonar.
In 1970 to 1980 trained dolphins killed 2 Russian frogmen who were putting limpet mines on a USA cargo ship in Cam Ranh bay in Vietnam. After that, Russian frogmen were trained to fight back against trained dolphins, and in an incident on the coast of Nicaragua Russian frogmen killed trained anti-frogman dolphins.

What have you learned today?

One of my colleagues just said (while we were talking about the Harry Potter books)
"they're so well written"

I had to pause for a moment to consider my response. I managed to calm it down to "they're easy to read" but there were any number of replies that would have worked.

I enjoyed reading the books, but well written? pffft

I've recently been thinking a lot
about how it would sound if Neil Diamond were to join Slayer on vocal duties while Messers King, Araya and Hanneman were all given acoustic guitars/basses to play and Mr Lombardo had one of his bass drums taken away and was told to slow the fuck down.

I think it would sound pretty cool.

Let me have your thoughts on which ageing crooner you think would be suitable to front your favourite band?

Pop quiz, hotshot!
You're losing an argument. You know you're going to lose. Your reasoning is full of holes and your opponent seems to have all the right answers.

What do you do? WHAT DO YOU DO?

Derogatory phrases
What's the most derogatory phrase you've ever heard or read?

A misogynistic colleague of mine, without any irony, refers to women as 'cunt hosts'. Admittedly, it made me laugh through sheer offensiveness, but this is pretty high on my list.

Also, this is nasty too

Bonus points for offending as many people as possible.
