By the way... the sleeping woman in whose bedroom I'm typing this has a) an 8-year-old son, and b) a varied and unusual DVD collection. So, out of boredom, I've just switched the discs between a cute kids' film called Snow Dogs and the bloody horrible 70's Peckinpah rapefest Straw Dogs. I'm chuckling. Does that make me a cunt?

Seriously, I think it's stupidly oppressive to stop someone surfing if they're still doing their job effectively. Most people surf at work to make their day bearable. Employers seem to think they're being cheated out of the time they're owed, but hell, if you're doing the job you're paid for what does it matter?

Don't get me wrong, there's nothing wrong with CDCs, some of them are funny. But there was a stage a while back where pretty much every post would get reposted in a new thread with a CDC slapped on it. I did think it stopped being funny for a while around then.
