Something similar happened to me the other year,
I bought my nephew some kind of weird RPG equipment for Christmas and then Google decided my news feed should be mainly focussed on D&D/Borehammer/Lame's Workshop bollocks. I despise RPGs.
The solution: disable google news, turn off Discovery, only ever buy anything odd or interesting with cash.

my first job for an exploration company, at their base they had a store room with jazz mag collections going back to the mid 60s, all organised in plastic crates with labels: Playboy 1968, Hustler 1976, etc.
Playboy had some good writers in the early years. Mailer, O'rourke, Vonnegut ,Hunter, and it was interesting see how the gash shots became less tame as the years progressed

UK electoral law forbids political donations from non-uk registered companies
Ashcroft used non-dom holding companies to funnel millions into multiple races in marginal seats, the Electoral commission investigated and Ashcroft and the tory branches refused to answer, and the EC didn't have the power to compel them. Meanwhile Ashcroft owns companies that own companies like Medacs that tories awarded 350 million pound contracts for making a meal of test and trace during covid.
