I went to the Winter Ales Festival on Wednesday, and had a few barley wines and porters. very nice. Organic Liverpool Brewery did a porter of 7 and a bit %, fucking lovely. Only served in halves. Robinson's Old Tom was also approved of.

Yeah, when I was growing up, Monkhouse was in his quiz descentand he was the sort of faintly embarrassing comedian that your parents liked when all the cool older kids were all "yeah, Ben Elton, yeah, The Young Ones!"
Turns out Monkhouse was actually very clever and Elton's a talentless hack. I'll have to check with Dozer, but I think that there might be some irony in there.
