I went up to see the new Star Trek filum last night in our local movie emporium.
I don't go to the cinema that often (in fact I think the last one I saw in there was the last Star Wars one) Anyway, there was exactly 40 people in the place and was rather empty, so next thing is 2 forrins planted themselves directly behind us. Like hello, there are about 960 seats to pick from, why the fuck do they choose to sit right behind us? anyway yes I must agree with the reviews that somebody had their finger on the lens flare button, it had more holes in the plot than swiss cheese and really did feel at times like 90210 in space. But, I enjoyed it and I look forward to the next one and the series that will no doubt come from it.
Oh, and £5.50 for a large coke and a bucket of popcorn? not feckin likely pal.
do you like popcorn?

You sit in the best seats you can find (most likely centre of the room - middle of the row).
The next people, forrin or no, also want best seats. You're in them, so they take the next best being one row back.
It's a logical conclusion. Being a Trek fan you should know that.

well yes I suppose so

2 5ft innit blud wide boys chatting in front of us so we told them to shut up, one goes "Yeah what you gunna do 'bout it?"

She was in my bad books when she felt like announcing loudly to her friends "I dun even know what x-men is!"
She then proceeded to bleat out every wonderful thought that tripped out her little head and out her wide gob. Presumably to try and impress the bloke she was with so he would hopefully plow her disease ridden snatch and finally she'll have a daddy for the wee unborn baby currently swimming in a foamy sea of 12 teenagers's spunk. This
it's not as though they body search you when you go in and stop you taking food & drink in like they do at Airports.
Go to a supermarket, buy a fucking great bag of maltesers and a vat of coca cola and poison yourself with sugar all the way through the film for about £3.

No they involve going to a shop where the prices may be more to your liking

A while back someone said some cinemas now search your bags for food,
because they don't like this dangerous new idea of fair competition and free markets or something.

what does bother me is when people abuse the staff at the concession stand about the price of popcorn
they have no control over it and are being paid minimum wage to stand there and dish it out to people

they always put the "tear here" strip about a quarter of the way down the packet as well,
so you've either got to do that or eat loads of them.
