For lunch today I'm having a bridie, a sausage roll, some tuscan
bean soup, half a melon, three cherry bakewells, water and heaps of tea.
What are you eating?

Slightly aroused ? Well I guess I can see that.
Jealous ? It's only a lump of Brisket sunk in Brine for a couple of weeks !

I stupidly agreed to look after my cousin's kids for the day so I spent the day up at Ullapool shouting at them and trying to keep them under control.
I nearly crashed my car on the way back from thinking about everyone starving. Luckily, you saved the day, unlike my so called deputies.

Sell by dates on eggs are a nonsense.
They'll keep for weeks as long as you turn them pointy end down.
If you are really worried that they may have gone off, do the floaty in a bowl of water test.

Can you eat that egg?
By Scott Matthews
If not sure you ought-ter,
then place it in water.
If it lies on its side,
then it's fresh; eat with pride.
After three or four days,
at an angle it lays.
But, it still is a treat,
so go on and eat.
Ten days, stands on end,
in your baking 'twill blend.
'Cause it's definitely edible,
in your baking, incredible.
But, if it floats on the surface,
that egg serves no purpose.
'Cause a floater's a stinker!
Out the back door best fling 'er!

Why is everyone so keen to list what they are eating for lunch? Or is it just a bunch of Billy-no-mates scrabbling for meager peer recognition over the lunch of the day?

I suppose it was a valid question when you're not used to the stuff that happens on a regular basis around here, I suppose none of us had stopped to think about why we have Dave the Facts every lunchtime or why it's so popular. I think it's a filler for general lack of hummus, which we sit around most of the day awaiting something funny to 'shop.
