It will be painful for all involved when, and if, it happens. I was abroad when the pound was devalued, on holiday. I had to pay my way out of the country, that was how it worked, there was a payment to leave the country, like a visa. We had to go into the back streets and get enough local currency to get out. People in the alleys would pay over the odds for pounds and dollars, we were advised that this was the way to go by the police in the airport.
Other people may have different recollections of when George Soros bet against the Bank of England and won.
Conveniently placed top and bottom so CurationLAD can chop them off in a matter of seconds before reposting for their five billion followers

lol I also have 3 meticulously hidden watermarks. Mostly for my own pleasure because they wonβt get removed. Only the obvious watermarks get shopped out.

I quite like seeing things Iβve made take hold in the wild. My jimmy hill chinny reckon gif is out there and so is the flag shagger jobby I made. I wasnβt in it for the money with those in the first place so glad they are being shared and enjoyed.
In contrast, the reason I've done maybe 45 minutes worth of work today:

I want science to invent a way we can save up the heat for later
or save the cold from winter

Some sort of house-sized thermos flask perhaps.

Easy.
Start with a solar collector in the summer hemisphere connected to to a salt/water heat battery array, which in turn connects to a pan-hemispheric megaplumbing network delivering hot water to taps in the winter hemisphere.

Oh there's also the idea that we give everyone on earth a kilo of permafrost
that they can put in their fridge/freezer and save loads of electricity.
And release all the greenhouse gasses sequestered within it, and oh by the way we're strip mining the polar regions to do this.

But it's not happening anywhere near me right?

Science accommodates your wish
Itβs called βdistrict heatingβ. Currently saves loads of gas in the Danish (and Swedish + elsewhere) towns. Particularly where seasonal heat storages are deployed. (I work with this stuff, so had to post unfunny and factual comment. Sorry.).
Lovely cartoon up there btw.

But they hired a short dumpy guy and stuck a generic bald wig on him, glued some earphones on and made a start on the makeup, but then said fuck it.
Maybe casting Hayden Christensen (6'0") in David Prowse's (6'6") role of Darth Vader meant they had to cast short people for all the other roles. And maybe the expense of Ewan McGregor meant they had to cut the costume budget.

Is it actually Christensen in the suit though?

Most likely some creative use of camera angles and boxes.
Like LOTR... and Mission Impossible.
