# One for the ladies
(, Wed 8 May 2002, 11:40, archived)
# So if we're meeting on the 8th in London
(WHICH WE ARE)
...where shall we go?
We need somewhere easy to get to, friendly, and preferably take-over-able (!)
I dunno. The trouble is me an' tomsk have nice pubs near our house that we go to, but that's not going to be convenient for other people.
(, Wed 8 May 2002, 11:35, archived)

Never been there, sure it's lovely.
DONE.
(, Wed 8 May 2002, 11:50, archived)
# weebl
is it takover-able?

I have a feeling going into a normal bar with us all running around with earsocks, etc, we might get burnt as witches or something.
(, Wed 8 May 2002, 11:53, archived)
# Yeah...
and I can't afford to hire a room you see...
(, Wed 8 May 2002, 11:58, archived)
# how much could it be?
i am sure everyone would be wiling to chuck a few squid in.
(, Wed 8 May 2002, 12:00, archived)
# No idea
But then you'd probably have to hire bar staff and DJs (& equipment) and stuff.
(, Wed 8 May 2002, 12:02, archived)
# hmm
fuck it then.
(, Wed 8 May 2002, 12:04, archived)
# It cost me £50
and we got it back coz you lot drank enough at the bar. The only cost I occured was hiring the DJ equipment.
(, Wed 8 May 2002, 12:14, archived)
# hmm
Well what day is the 8th?
There are several bars around there that are definately take-overable though. I could check about booking it out if you want.

# its normally quite busy at weekends
and sometimes quite a wait for the pool tables

# ****T SHIRT Announcement*******
Hi Lovelies

T-shirts are arriving at my office tomorrow afternoon and will be despatched Friday/Sat/Mon at the latest.
Sorry about the delays but I was still getting orders up until 4 days ago and it is difficult to know when to draw the line. (as its a charidee thing, the danger is underprinting, then people miss out or overprinting = no money to hosting fund)
Not a single cheque has been cashed and will not be until t-shirts are despatched.
Again apologies for the delay but more orders = more b3ta money = better feeling when wearing shirts etc.
So you will all have them next week:-)

Official date for the unofficial b3ta piss-up, is officially the 8th of June. I'm not changing it now because whatever date is picked, some people aren't going to be able to make it!

# youre
doing this on purpose now arent ya? i couldnt really make the 1st but thought 'i shall put lady interest on hold oop north and go to this piss up thing', then you go and change it! Baaassstttttaaardsss, cos i DEFINATELY cant make the 8th (a very good french friend in newcastle is leaving to back to france after 2 years here so that would be bad. plus she'll have lots of lady friends at her leaving party......) *huff*

We haven't lived here very long, and none of our friends like going out in town. Can someone come up with some suggestions or we'll all end up in Covent Garden with the tourists?
(, Wed 8 May 2002, 11:28, archived)
# may 25th
would be the coolest of all for me cos i wouldnt have to sacrifice any meeting-lady opportunities. but if we're sticking with dates how come the 1st wasnt stuck to, there seems to be equal can and cant dos for each date. perhaps we should have a deciding competition......im not bad at 'knuckles', but not arm wrestles

think that the 8th is a good idea, as Mrzog may even be able to wing it over the water, and in doing so, may be able to smuggle CaptainK and the other US b3tans in his hand luggage.
ps. if it's your b'day on the 8th, what better way of celebrating could there be?
(, Wed 8 May 2002, 11:31, archived)
# Yes.
Isn't it worth having it on the 8th if it means Zog (and possibly chums) can come?
