A bit of Fry and Laurie - If Rupert Murdoch had never been born...

I've got this 80s/90s actor stuck in my head, but can't think of his name or indeed a single film he's been in. He's gaunt and creepy, and was usually a smooth villainous sort. Looks a bit like an angular Christian Bale crossed with Christopher Walken.
*opens Photoshop* ....

Ok, nothing like this fucking reptilian nightmare, but perhaps you get the idea. Any suggestions anyone?

That's who I get. en.wikipedia.org/wiki/William_Fichtner

It's very sad to admit this, but you've saved me from a weekend of mental torment.
Edit: how on earth did you make the connection? My picture is a fucking travesty!

You should get a job with the FBI

...as Fichtner was in "The Dark Knight"

Only one result popped up in my head for that and the pic confirmed it :)

If this doesn't reach the popular page, it's a travesty.

I liked the shark fin on Murdoch's back, as well. And Rebekah Brooks with an eye patch.

I was lucky enough as a kid to see a shuttle launch, and look round Cape Kennedy. How long till there will be launches from there again do you know?
( , Fri 8 Jul 2011, 15:19, Reply)

reads around 16 mins. Is this time-to-launch or some other number?
EDIT: Oh ok...they're holding it for 40 mins at 9 minutes...why don't they just count down from 49?
( , Fri 8 Jul 2011, 15:25, Reply)

but the nine minutes needs to be tightly scripted

Amongst the mass of American crap my daughter watches (stuff about witches in malls, annoying twins on a boat, that girl off School of Rock doing a youtube show etc), I've caught her watching this, which I've quickly realised is bloody brilliant. I bet you that in 20 years time today's nippers will get as nostalgic about Horrible Histories as I am about the Clangers and an elephant going mental on Blue Peter.

But Bafta have seriously diluted their worth in recent years, like the way exams have gotten easier and easier to pass :)
Btw, you realise that using the proper youtube link embeds it here instead of the .be twitter version?

So, the question is.... what film is the mystery laughing goblin noise from?
( , Fri 8 Jul 2011, 15:03, Reply)

it reminded me of the inbred dog bark failing... but then I'm not sure if that got redubbed with steve carell's random newscaster noise from bruce almighty...
so it could be that heliumed...
EDIT: no it's not that

...but it would have probably taken longer doing it that way than configuring each individual side.
It took longer to put the vid together than it did to plan and execute all the rest of it. Ho-hum.
Cheers, like :)

Imagine the vast number of trains and trams there would have to be in order the enable all of the different branch lines to dock together.
Then imagine how many of those trains would be affected if one single train has a problem and had to stop or slow down.
I reckon it's a spectacularly silly and wasteful idea. Just go to Japan or Switzerland and see how fantabulous their train connections are.
( , Fri 8 Jul 2011, 14:18, Reply)

With intermediary 'pods' so express trains only had to slow down as disembarkers moved from the train to the pod, which then stopped at the station....
Oh I dunno, could've been the drugs.

Episode 2 best so far. Not sure how many more they're releasing, but hope they've saved some better clips.
Do feel they've sold out a bit. Bit like Harry Hill did with his mini online series.

the Alan Partridge ones were really good! I do like Vic and Bob but these haven't been that great, the sort of stuff you will find a milllion nobodies uploading to youtube. I wonder how much they did get paid for this and was it too much?
