It's just a shame I have no particular question. Perhaps it's something deep or self-pitying or shallow.
*shrugs* just say stuff

Nonetheless;
www.guardian.co.uk/society/2011/feb/24/british-drug-use-falling
Because I know none of you will bother to read this, it says "The number of young people taking drugs has fallen by 30% in 15 years." The key word here is YOUNG. It's not that less people are taking drugs - it's that 15 years ago, Monty was 22.
What do you blame your fellow B3tans for?
Alt: who'd play you in a movie about your life? I call Clary

With George Clooney's hilarious remarks still resonating in my gin-hungover ears, I suggest 'Pleasantly Surprised'.
When were you last pleased to discover someone/thing/whatever was not Fucking Shit, despite your firmly believing so beforehand?

Inspired by Monty's "best year for music" thread yesterday, what was your favourite year for movies? EVAH? So yes you can go back to the Golden Age and have 1950 (All About Eve, Sunset Boulevard, The Third Man, The Asphalt Jungle, Adam's Rib) or think modern and cite 1987 (Robocop, Dirty Dancing (shut UP), The Lost Boys, The Untouchables, Raising Arizona, Wall Street, Full Metal Jacket), or go auteur-tastic with 1973 (American Graffiti, The Wicker Man, The Sting, Mean Streets, Badlands, Last Tango in Paris, Enter The Dragon, Don't Look Now, Serpico and I suppose I ought to mention The Exorcist even though I think it's overrated).
Or you can tell me to shut my twatty pie-hole and talk about breasts and 15" Black Mambas and buttplugs. As usual.
Alt Q - You have to live in a world without either beer or chocolate. Pick one.

An eventful week. Spanky is back, with, surprisingly, a genuinely believable story, even if it wad hamstrung by his trademark shit skills at writing metaphors.
In other news, Darth and I finally, unequivocally, agree on something.
In other news, Monty is skint but going to eat out.
Any news from the rest of you?

I'll be having plenty in a week and a half but I want some now. If I knew for certain I'd be hooking up with someone shortly then I'd happily not drink but what if I don't and I've missed all these drinking opportunities throughout the year.

Last night I was deemed the appropriate person to organise my father-in-law's stag do. Ms Foxtrot's Dad and Stepmum are finally getting hitched this summer and apparently I have to organise the pre-emptive celebrations. I am absolutely buggered if I know what to do, but strip clubs are right out.
Does anyone have any suggestions as to what a 56-year-old veterinary surgeon and environmental activist might enjoy doing, alongside several similarly-aged and -employed fellows, plus myself and the other sons-in-law who are all around my age?

It's pissing down and I've been at work since 8am. I am wearing yesterday's clothes, I need to write to my creditors telling them I have no money to pay them and I have chronic and painful flatulence*.
I am 84. My hobbies are reading, horseriding and swimming.

I'm developing a level of croissanty smugness right now. I was at work for 6 hrs today (despite it being holidays and not being paid) then I went to the gym. YEAH! If I wasn't smug, I'd be complaining.
