make sure you get a guide book or someone who knows the what the score is
Went there a few years back and hardly anyone speaks english, the road layouts are a nightmare as the street numbering is done by when the buildings were built, so 1 could be on the right, 2 on the right half a mile down the road, and 3 on the left half a mile in the other direction. We had a taxi driver who had to stop another driver to find out where the hotel we wanted to go to was even though we had the address.
Also, make sure you don't try and book into a "love" hotel, and look out for the dodgy manga book stores.
Apart from that amazing place, the shinkansen is pretty cool, you'd hardly know is was knocking up to 160mph. Akihabra is mental with electric toilet seats and all sorts of weird gadgets, and for some weird reason all the food gets covered in dried fish scraping, which writhe about like they're maggots which is a bit off putting.

Boomzilla likes this Jap candy that's like a little drug lab. You mix these different parts, it fizzes, gets hot, cools. You do this extrusion-molding thing and watch it harden. When you eat it, it's just candy, but Boomzilla likes making it.

No-one is against posting your own work. However try a drip feed approach rather than bombardment. And try commenting on other's work or reply to posts on your work. That way you'll look less like a viral video researcher and more like a human being.

I'll happily apologize for my comment last night if it upset you.
I made a jump decision, we get a lot of people on here who will post their video, then run away without ever sticking around, talking, taking onboard what people say, Ahhhh funnyman charlie, where are you now? You obviously have stuck around and have taken on board what people said.
Welcome to B3ta, pull up a kitten, have a chair and so on. :-)

Historical drug-running simulator
This game is awesome - had me hooked for the last 20 minutes. It puts you in charge of the opium trade between British India and China in the early 19th century, and tasks you with buying enough tea to satisfy the plebs back home. Trust me, it's much more addictive than it sounds (much like the opium you'll be peddling, coincidentally enough).
Go-on, fulfill your lifelong ambition of creating thousands of Chinese drug addicts. It's strangely fulfilling

I loved this game
The last summer I was in Hong Kong and Macau, and went to the Maritime Museum. I've been told the story from both the UK and there, and I feel I have a more balanced perspective of it. To those who say "History is written by the winner", that isn't true: history is written, like everything else, for its local audience.
Anyway, sorry for the tangent, but I loved this game as it plays well and shines light on an under-reported part of history.

i dont think britain comes well out of the opium wars wherever you are in the world.
Even if it's just for the destruction of Old Summer Palace

which seems to me pretty similar to what the taliban were doing when they were in power in Afghanistan.
