Glad you caught Mr Propaganda. What a twat. I bet he's the type that still harks on about Thatcher ruining the country despite Labour having had 15 years to fix it.
Mr Mansion-Tax doesn't do his argument any justice, but there is a debate there. People can end up asset rich and cash poor. Farmers for instance - will they be exempt?
I wish though we could vote on Q Time. The loser gets dropped into a vat full of scorpions or something.

I went to the filming of one, done not too long before the 1997 elections
As you'll have guessed, the 'questions' made by the audience are all approved by the producers ahead of time (we were given little cards and handed them in, then the chosen few were called out just before it started so the cameras would know where to zoom in).
These questions were all the typical bland ones of the day - so if you had anything you wanted to say that didn't relate to the established news agenda, you'd either have to hope you could shoehorn it in as a randomly picked person at the end, or, if you are crazy, shout it out.
Not excusing dumbness or rudeness...But if you don't fit in with the BBC news narrative, you have no alternative.
Also saw the young Harriet Harman, and she was gorgeous.

hehe, I do like this
The only thing I'll pick up on is "neither liberal nor democratic". This isn't true. The NHS bill and it's 'any willing provider' section certainly are economic liberal, and about half the votes at the spring conference were in favour of the bill. Eventually that balanced out to a compromise motion being passed that broadly supported the bill, but without explicitly calling on the lords to continue to support it.
There are a lot of problems with the lib dems… one is that there is a weird expectation that social liberalism and economic liberalism should go hand in hand, whereas in reality the Lib Dems would much rather be back split in two parties (and if real voting reform ever happened that'd happen pretty fast). Unfortunately, there are a lot of ex-tories in the liberal democrats, enough that the democratic aspect means they're listened to and their toryish policies get enacted. That said, when you compare the shit the libdems have pulled with the shit that labour got away with (even their NHS bill in 2006), and the tories alone before them… I'd still vote libdem as the best of a bad bunch.
The other thing that's wrong with the libdems is that we fooled ourselves into thinking we weren't electing a bunch of careerist politicians. We were dead wrong. Nobody can deny that, you can imagine the crap Clegg would be saying if he wasn't deputy PM about Cameron selling off the NHS, it's the worst kind of negative politics and I wish we could switch them out for people less power-hungry.

Handy screen app to change the tone and brightness throughout the day
Maybe you like staying up late and staring at a bright monitor whilst you peruse certain pictures, and that's why you've ended up with glasses and hairy palms.
This might not help with the hairs, but could help to reduce an element of eye strain at 3am when you try and make out what the pixelated sections from your favourite japanese site are.
Also, other interesting stuff at the guys site (http://stereopsis.com), who apparently also wrote picasa.
GC says neit.

it's not that clever
but can you can tweak the levels, or disable it if you're doing photo work.
It's more about automatically changing the brightness and tone, so you're not glaring at an overly bright screen late at night without realising the ambient light has dropped.
plus it's free, so if you don't like it, just uninstall it.

for some reason a toffee crisp isn't just like a giant rice crispie cake, the chocolatey bit with the crispies is kind of crumbly. so i added icing sugar and cocoa to try and make it more crumbly. it worked quite well - tasted very like a toffee crisp!
it took the recipient three weeks to eat it... :D
