I'm surprised Viz haven't kept up with these stories. Some of the new cartoons are fucking terrible. Not as funny as it used to be etc etc.

Somewhat sexist and white knight-y.
(, Fri 7 Aug 2015, 11:30, Reply)
the game from that, other than girls might want to play it.
Which will probably mean it will be shit, like an RPG Rayman.
(, Fri 7 Aug 2015, 11:38, Reply)
Why is catering to female RPG gamers sexist and white knight-ey any more than Dead Or Alive is misogynist and bro-ey? It's just a fucking game. Is Barbie's Dream House simulator adultist?

From your description I was expecting the two ladies to lez out.
Why didn't they lez out?
That would have been brilliant.

Not sure they got Red Dwarf right...I'm sure it went faster than light. Nice nonetheless.

plus i'm guessing they meant scoop not scope...

which is 670,616,629 miles per hour
670,616,629 / 3,000,000 = 223.5 a year
(223.5 / 364) / 24 hours = 0.025588 acceleration per hour
= pissflaps is a cunt.

What has the mass got to do with the speed in a place where there is minuscule or no gravity pull? Also no air pressure?
(, Fri 7 Aug 2015, 19:57, Reply)
nothing with mass can reach the speed of light, and nothing can exceed it, Regardless of vacuum.

A simple video to explain, about 10 seconds in "Nothing with mass can move faster than light". Even in CERN they are only getting "really close" to the speed of light, but it's still not the speed of light.
I'm sure someone else can explain better than me, I'm not a scientist.

The original post was to question why The Red Dwarf was so slow, I just pointed out that at full blast it accelerated at a rate of roughly 0.025588 miles per hour using numbers I remember from the episodes and books.

With some tweezers and made it pick up things like leaves, it would runaround them on the spot. I thought it was sort of interesting. My parents thought it was wierd.
I suppose the only diffence between me and those scientists was that I didn't have that fancy technology and that I didn't write it down.
Or that I'm just wierd. Whatever.

These images were taken by Discovr. It's sitting between the earth and the sun, so the dark side of the moon is lit up by the sun, and the moon appears as a new moon on earth. Far side of the moon is a better description than dark side, for obvious reasons.

I've not been on much so I did a search and that always-reliable source suggested no mention of Fantasy Football for a good while so I set one up. If I am misinformed please advise (and share the league code)
Anyways the code for the one I have set up is:

So a parody we put together, critique welcome!
(, Thu 6 Aug 2015, 23:57, Reply)
The humour was a bit shotgun. nothing for the first couple of minutes then slowly introducing a few "scary movie" style gags that were a little lame. The payoff at the end was predictible and even lamer, when it should have been the best gag and a big shock. It's a shame because you got the styling so right, it can't have been easy on limited budget.
I'd advise spending more time thinking and writing cohesive humour that extends across the whole piece. What about if ethan had actually been casually asked to get a coffee, but he treats it like a mission impossible, going to absurd lengths and killing a bunch of people? It carries the audience along with the absurdity. Showing someone playing gameboy instead of doing the mission is lame cheap laughs, there is no context or motivation to it other than the obvious absurdity. you need to build it up, and treat the drama of it with seriousness, the humour will benefit from it. As it was, some of the jokey sub-tarantino diversionary conversations were no funnier than some of similar bits films often put in themselves for light relief, such as Pegg's bones in the latest star treks. you only have 5 minutes, you can write better and with more purpose
(, Fri 7 Aug 2015, 10:20, Reply)
Appreciate the effort you put into writing this response - there are some things we'd change which you mentioned, we had just under 9 days to make this (from the initial "Make a mission impossible parody" to finishing the video and all in the middle) so idea world we would of tightened certain aspects up. The ending was meant to be different originally too which would of changed the pace of some of the middle stuff (more serious tone until the final pay off which was a different joke) but producer input meant we couldn't go with it.
Thanks once again - all noted and appreciated.

2 and a half days of actual filming.
The Aircraft hanger & office stuff was all shot in 12 hours on one day, the plane jump and all of Benny's on a 2nd. The Rooftop & maintenance area all shot in LA by our friends at the same time.
Food budget was the cost of Pizza for everyone - the whole team just wanted to get it made :)
