I'm not a big smoker of it myself.
but it certainly feels over the top.
Edit:is it justified to be sensationalist over this?

So, as the local Single Guy, I find that I'm under a lot of scrutiny over here. For a time I was renting out a room to a female engineer from Thailand who lives about an hour and a half from here and drives a brand new Mercedes, so she was checked out very thoroughly by one and all. (She's married and has a nice house in Virginia Beach, but rented out from me to save wear on her car and to reduce her drive time.) I explained the situation to the friendly couple across the street, but have continued to be silent to The Choad next door.
Then my daughter got a Geo Tracker, and one of my son's friends moved in with me. Two new cars added to the mix. And then I got that red Mazda Miata, and suddenly I'm an object of fascination to The Choad.
Through a series of odd circumstances, I'm helping a woman who's a friend of a friend sell off a load of stuff from her ex husband. Mostly it's been furniture and antiques and odd collectibles (I've been feeling like Lovejoy as I flog this stuff around the town), but now she's also asked me to arrange sale of a pistol and two shotguns. The smaller shotgun was immediately sold, and I'll soon be rid of the pistol- but the Mosberg 12 gauge is a little more of a challenge. I think I may have someone lined up for it, though, so I brought it home tonight.
I made sure that The Choad saw me taking it out of the Miata as I talked to my daughter with it slung carelessly over my shoulder. The expression on his face was priceless.
I expect the neighborhood to get far quieter now.

the last couple of weeks? It's getting old hearing how much one person hates another because of what they say or don't say in their posts. The posts are not that important and the internet isn't that important. Lighten up and have some fun.

Yesterday afternoon we got a new multi-function fax machine, or as I like to call it......THE BEAST.
www.printerbase.co.uk/acatalog/brother-mfc9840cdw.php
So unwrapping it and getting it to function quite wore me out.
Today I've been making an appliqué cushion for a guy at work who's made a little stool for his niece's daughter.
Tomorrow I go to a birthday party. Woo!
I think the term Rock and Roll lifestyle may apply here.

On a saturday. Doing lots of heavy lifting a cataloguing. Does not want.
So my question for anyone that might be on these boards at the moment is: if you had to beat a reality TV "star" to death using an everyday kitchen appliance, who would you kill, and how?
I would go for Simon Cowell (an obvious choice), and would whip his brains to mush using a hand-held electric beater, entering through the ocular cavities.

Trouty trouty trouty!
Although, just to pad out the post....I spent the last couple days apologizing for my batshit behaviour the last six months to people who it didn't even affect, and they're still not talking to me (do you KNOW how hard it is to acknowledge you're a metnalist?). But I guess now I figured out who my friends are!
Meh, fuck it. I know what I'm doing tomorrow and those that have stood by me are looking forward to me being there! Trouty trouty trouty!!!!
Edit: Was fucking hammered when I wrote this!

why is it, every fucking week you can't look at the popular page of the QOTW without at least two or three fucking shit stories by Spanky Hanky being on there. It's like the guy has literally nothing else in his life than just making up vaguelly funny stories, if he only posted one a week I wouldn't mind, god knows I've been equally guilty in my time, but he clogs the fucking board up and his little army of sycophants replying just to say "Guffaw" and "HAHAHAHA LOL" and shit like that.
It's fucking shit and it is really taking the fun out of reading QOTW, which actually has a lot of potential this week.

My mum has decided to buy my family a Wii for Xmas (myself, wife 7 and 5yo) and as I know sweet FA about gaming (not played since Road Rash on my Sega Genesis)I thought I would throw it out to you kind folk.
What do I need to get? Especially regarding extras. There seem to be a lot of packages offering lots of unusual object that would not look out of place in a sex shop and my head is going wobbly thinking about it.
Any advice appreciated.

Who's place am I coming over too, is there anything you want me to bring? I got some vouchers from Marks'n'Sparks, so I don't mind bringing some bite-sized cheese burgers and some saussages wrapped up in bacon. There is a 24/7 shop open across the road from me that'll be open on christmas day, so if you run out of Paxo, I can bring some of that too.
I don't drive, so if you live far, i'll have to come 'round a few days before hand and stay over because I don't think the trains will be running.
So go ahead, pitch your christmas to me, and i'll choose the one I like the most.
