New Thread: now with 50% more boobs
I read the other day that Kate Hudson has had a boob job. This made me sad because she was the pioneer of small-breasted women. I feel let down.

Who has disappointed you recently and what are you going to do about it?

*I am also disappointed that Psychochomp isn't coming to my cupcake party because I want to spend time with him*

I just bought myself some things from Amazon
Two graphic novels by Garth Ennis to be a bit more forthcoming with details.

Have you treated yourself recently?

I'm bored, and couldn't be bothered to get involved with that 'female role model' thread because I skimmed it and saw no pics of boobs

Amy Johnson
80 years ago today, less than a year after she gained her full pilot's licence, Amy Johnson set off from Britain to fly single handed to Australia. Which she achieved 19 days later thus becoming the first woman to complete such a journey. Prior to this she had gained a BA in Economics and become the first woman to qualify as an aircraft engineer.

Which woman from history do you think deserves greater recognition?
Who do you think is currently a good role model for young women/girls?

Cock.
I've got a big craving for chicken so I'm going to cook some tonight although I don't know quite how yet. Tell me, what's your favourite thing to do with a bird?

New trick
Last night on Facebook, I spotted a page in which it shows a way to overcome your gag reflex. From what I can tell, it's only a temporary thing, but quite amusing nonetheless.

This is how it's done -
1. Bound your left hand into a fist, with your thumb inside it.
2. Squeeze as hard as you can, while extending your middle finger.
3. Push that middle finger towards where you would normally gag, and you'll (hopefully) find that you won't gag at all!

All right, it's a pretty crap trick, but it amused me. Give it a go!

Anyone else learned any new tricks recently?

Bruises
Thanks to falling out a wheelie bin backwards earlier on, right onto my arse, I've ended up with a solid, straight line of a bruise running right across one cheek. It is, without a doubt, the oddest and most awkward bruise I've ever had.

What are your tales of strange/unexplained/painful bruises?

I'll ask this here as I'm too scared to ask /talk -
Anyone remember that pic of the viaduct morphing into a sailing galleon? Or better yet, when and where to find its first appearance, or even the b3tan responsible?

Electric cars are the future
Literally, as it's being discussed whether to fit them with Star Wars noises so they can be heard coming. Thus negating that unforseen by-product of cleaner energy of streets strewn with the corpses of blind people and their guide dogs. I want mine to sound like a TIE Fighter, please.

Or, you could just make them sound like cars...

Following on from Kitty's reply to my earlier thread
In the film of the adventures of B3ta, what stereotype would your character be? Who would be the twisted, evil nemesis, and who would be the handsome and dashing hero?

James Cameron is releasing Avatar in cinemas again this summer.
WITH EXTRA 6 MINUTES!!!
OMGOMGOMG!!!

And he's promised TWO sequels as well.

I don't know if I'll be able to sleep. Maybe I should kill everybody now and then myself to save us the pain of not living in Pandora.

Today is the biggest deadline of our year.
At 4pm, the thing that has been making me suicidal for the past three weeks will finally be out of my life, finished at half three this morning. However, my friend just rang me, her computer was completely died on her, she can't even turn it on. All she had left to do was submit it, and it wasn't saved anywhere else. If I was her, I might actually kill myself.

So, question. What would you leave to other B3tans if you hypothetically kicked the bucket?

Crime of the Century
Over the Bank Holiday weekend, someone broke into our office and stole all the shiney nice things (PCs, Laptop, Brand New large format printer).

Consequently, I'm about to jump on the tube and spend the day (and possibily most of the week) 'working from home'.

What weirdness has started your working week?

I just put xubuntu linux on my old PC
its the only way to get anything good out of 256K. It comes with an IRC client. As a long time Microsoft user this is new to me. I was wondering if anyone had any tips for getting the most out of this?

OK, I've referred to it in the past on QOTW about the song playing on the airplane when I first met my dad.
ASelin Debison - Somewhere Over The Rainbow/What a Wonderful World

It was this version, and I thought it was awesome, not just because what it meant, but also because this kid was 13 when she recorded this and it's not fooking bad in my opinion.

I is slighly drunked right now, and you know what - I don't fucking care. I'm off to Vegas in a few hours!

Edit: Did I say slightly drunked? I'm fucking wasted right now. Byeeeeee.......I'll probably still be drunk at the airport. I'll try not to post, unless I go through with a filet knife, or beat up some college boys (for the record, they weren't college boys, they were older than me), or throw the kittums out the window.

Re-Edit: Fuck, I really was that drunk that I posted this up. I knew something was niggling at me! Have a great week, off to gamble away my life savings!

Well, you lot are going to be getting up soon.
I hope you all had a great weekend! I'm off to Vegas tomorrow for a few days, so may or may not be around.
Enjoy the week, and blessings on you all!

I should have gone to bed hours ago
as the alarm is going off in 4 1/2 hours, instead I've spent the last hour making this.

Does anyone reckon
Gordon Brown would have met with a more positive media reaction if he'd said something like "she's right you know; we must do something about all these foreigners flooding Britain"?

If so, how miserable does that make you feel?

Morning Folks (taking my cue from that last thread there).
It's Sunday morning and I have no hangover.
And I'm baking croissants.
With a bit of luck they should be ready in time for when mrsblaireau finishes work and we sit down to watch the motogp. Mmmmmmmmmmm Suzy Perry.
that is as long as climatic and world events behave themselves and don't fuck with my plans for enjoyment (I'm referring specifically to plane crashes and volcanic eruptions).

Croissants and motorcycle racing, does it get any better than this?

Morning folks
It's saturday morning, and I'm at work. Not hungover this time, thankfully. How are we all?

Also, I've just got myself a shiny new android phone (the HTC Hero) and I was wondering whether anyone had any app recommendations?

Anyone else been asked to take part in Biobank?
www.ukbiobank.ac.uk/

I got a letter today - exactly one week after I opted out of having my medical records included in a national database.

I'm sort of in favour of big, open, long-term medical studies. I'm not in favour of every Tom, Dick and Harry having access to my records. Apparently I'd have to turn up at a local 2-3 hour appointment where fluid would be taken and I'd get the results of that, then they'd follow my health long-term via my GP.

Decisions decisions. What would you do? Have you been asked?
