I got dressed in the dark today, and then when I went out to work it was dark, and now I'm in the office and it's light, and my white hoodie is really dirty. Like, really really dirty. I didn't realise because the stains on it are subtal yellow coloured (probably cooking related oil or something).
It's worst around the ends of my sleaves so I've rolled them up a bit. But i fucking hate being so schlocky, I _knew_ I should have put on a shirt or something.
I think i'm going to find myself a place to get a new jumper at lunch and hope nobody notices... and if anyone says anything I'll just say "I was to hot in my hoodie, but didn't have anything on under it".

I am now totally hungover and have a load of work and a 300 mile drive in the snow and ice.
Contrast your good/bad experiences here my people!

I went to the redelivery site and they said I could have it sent from the Depot at the End of the World to my local Post Office.
The Post Office they dictate I must use is a mile away and in a totally different 'village', for want of a better word.
My local Post Office, ie the one I use, that is only half a mile away, is 'not in my Post Code area' and therefore they will not post there.
They won't post it to my nana's because that's a different postcode as well.
Ok then you twats, have it your way, redeliver it to my address on Christmas Eve, but I bet you fucking won't.
Who do you suspect of LIES?

A crazy Mary Bale-type keeps attacking the snowmen in my cousin's street. So far we've had repeated beheadings, a spade in the stomach surrounded by ketchup 'blood', and a carrot nose removed and turned into a penis.
The solution? My cousin is right now using the snow bricks from her kids' igloo to brick up this woman's door.
I suggested dog poo as mortar, and a pit-trap in front of the snow man, but they don't want to mess up the lawn.
How would you dish out justice in these conditions?
And how are you all?

Presents are wrapped, food is in, house is not as tidy as it should be, but so what? Me and Tigger are all snuggly on the sofa and I'm going for din dins at my folks' house later.

Some may have noticed my sig for the past few months has been "open up another case of the punks". This is a lyric from Ashtray Heart by Captain Beefheart and The Magic Band. www.youtube.com/watch?v=82gyb0cFJ20
Captain Beefheart (van Vliet) was one of the best and most original song writers ever. I was lucky enough to see The Magic Band live a few years back. It featured members from several various incarnations of The/His Magic Band. After the gig I managed to speak to Denny Wally and Gary Lucas. Captain Beefheart's last album was released in 1982 and he retired to the Mojave Desert to paint. I'm impressed he managed to live to 69 with MS to be honest.
Anyone else care to talk about how amazing his music and voice were?
