You can be annoying but this an epic track
When Mrs Spazz told me she was off, I got tanked and played this all the time full volume on some big speakers. No neighbours to annoy as we lived in Suffolk boonie land.
Oddly she still left me and I'm still tanked and maudlin

I had a boss at the BBC who backed them on harmonica or sax at different times
has a few credits in their songs. Interesting bloke. His dad is English folk legend Wizz Jones www.youtube.com/watch?v=GDsQSOf6_ow (clapton cites him as a big influence) and spent a lot of his childhood in a kombi following festivals around europe, which sounds cool but according to simeon wasn't. Him and Wizz still do gigs together on occasion
{edit} sorry spaz, didn't really read your post, and blithely told my anecdote unrelated to your poignant melancholy of splitting up

is that because you'd like to see the vid reach a wider array of eyeballs, or is it just some pedantry about board etiquette?

Vic Berger: Jim Bakker montage
A montage of Vic Berger’s painfully uncomfortable edits of clips of Jim Bakker’s shows. Jim Bakker hears from The Lord on a regular basis and is often told of impending disasters, which is not as bad as it sounds if, like Jim, you happen to be in the business of selling survival buckets full of powdered peanut butter or some kind of instant soup. Jim is not just a vessel of The Lord, he’s also a great storyteller, and a convicted conman.
I’m posting this because I hate you all.

I used to watch that on tv while getting ready for work, back in the 80's
Me and my room mate would laugh our asses off. Great way to start the day.
Also, Dr. Gene Scott was a riot.
I'm going to hell. The music is better there.

A need to believe, wildly manipulated by fraudsters, plus conformity.
I guess those who con find willing marks who, having already accepted the irrational, are more malleable.
I do wonder how many of these people enjoy fooling others and ramp up the ridiculousness to see how far they can go.

The canals around Greater Manchester are usually riddled with Canada Geese (when they've not fucked off for winter).
If they're on the towpath, they'll generally get out of my way when I'm cycling past, but I have to run the hissing, lunging gauntlet when they've got goslings...

It's a pretty fucking low bar to beat to be fair. The only other one I'd consider rewatching is 7, and I think it would just make me angry that they didn't have a scooby what the next two films were going to be about.
( , Tue 15 Sep 2020, 22:42, Share, Reply)
At least with the prequels there was a end goal for the trilogy to work towards.
The sequel trilogy was unforgivably aimless.
8 was just insultingly bad, wrecked Star Wars physics, and ruined all of the suspense that 7 did fairly well to establish. 9 was the plot of a mediocre video game, not the plot of a worthwhile film. All the characters were squandered.
Solo was so bad that they released it with the brightness turned off.
Rogue 1 was fucking shite, the best character was played by a computer algorithm, nothing mattered, nothing stands on its own merits.

It's all fine and dandy with their special effects and CGI
so why do they persist with a faux cutesy hand-cranked puppet in a bucket?

It's a bit more than that
it is actually a robot that can walk n stuff.
They spent $500,000 building it.
Those scenes where it walks about, that is the same robot.
Could still have done better with $50,000 of special effects though.
