That was an EXTREMELY well written series
But Arthur was probably my least favourite character as he was pretty much just a rewrite of Pike from Dad’s Army. Still had his moments, but fewer than the other characters.
John Finnemore should have played Pike in the remake in fact, might have watched it then.
He writes a mean crossword too.

Kids like that only come from insufferable parents.
If you were to spawn I'm sure they'd be quite normal or even enjoyable.

Painting with Hellinge
I made this!
My family are all far more talented than I am.
Here's my wife's latest painting timelapse - now with some cheesy / sweet music to ease you in gently.
She daren't post here herself, cause it's such a scary place - i.e. you're all very bad people.
So I'm clicking "I made this" cause I paid for the wedding.

Inspiring stuff
I never thought I would get into the shitpatch movement, as living on the 5th floor makes getting to my local shitpatch a bit of a trek. But now my eyes have been opened - I too can have shitpatch without even having to bother going downstairs/outdoors!

Glad to hear it. Corona can take our freedom but it will never take our shitpatches.
I've got quite into gardening since making them. Always seemed so complicated but it's really a case of popping a seed/ bulb in the ground and Mother Nature sorting the rest.

I am curious to find out more about the black market where if you can pay enough you can have artwork stolen to order.
I also giggled at Google translate but I feel they captured his emotions well:

But, how were you recording that - there's a stereo effect for one thing.

It’s not a high bar though is it, being second worst?
Once Italy’s path was clear, we should have been on immediate lockdown. Schools were open for at least a week after it was clear they would have to close, merely exacerbating the pressure on the NHS. I withdrew my child from the nursery on the Monday, and both I and my partner started working from home at the behest of our respective employers, not as a result of government advice.

Not sure he's 'stuck' in the past though, he just
seems disappointed by the apparent 'normality'
of the present.
