I want to
I would be most grateful for your recommendations of fairly recent films in the comedy, action or sci-fi genres.

But what amused me greatly the other day was my discovery that websites in the cook islands use the domain co.ck

It may get about 2 inches thick providing it's overnight, then it turns to rain and then melts again. and yet some schools will shut.
It's the teachers who take a snow day and the school shuts. In 1987 there was quite a heavy snowfall in Hull, yet the teachers couldn't claim they couldn't get into school because the headteacher used to drive all the way from some small village in Nottinghamshire, which was a good 90 miles each way (though god knows why)

Fashion thread!
I think this year I will be wearing mostly slim leg jeans. I have the leg length to suit them and I'm too old for skinnies. Boot cut are sooooo last year.
Where in the pool of fashion will you be dipping your toe this year?

In this shitty weather, most local schools are closed, even though the little darlings live locally. It's hardly a drag to make it 3 minutes down the road, and they can play with snowballs.
I had to travel a good few miles, limited bus service, and no Metro. 'Snot fair. I made ane ACE snowman though, so it wasn't quite all good, but partially ok.

It's 5.45am, my bed is three metres behind me, yet I cannot be bothered to go and get into it. I have finally outdone myself by becoming too lazy to sleep.
I've also been reading poker books for the last six hours.

And it was filled with all sorts of stuff, ledgers from 1933, 80/90s porn and video games, and...ermmm... all sorts.
Just think, some of that stuff was written by people who have never heard of Hitler.

If you have windows7, or Vista 32 bit, create a new folder and rename it to "GodMode.{ED7BA470-8E54-465E-825C-99712043E01C}" without the quote. Hey presto, you are god as well.

It's absolutely hooning down here. Half an inch in the last 30 minutes, easy. People who were joking about closing the office then are now seriously asking about it. How's your weather?

When I came back from Malaysia in 1998 I tried to convince my boss to grab an import licence for sweet chili dipping sauce as I'd never seen it here and thought it was the tits. Twelve years later and it's on every shelf in every shop worth its salt, but it hasn't got my gurning face on it because my boss didn't believe how good it was.
What ingredient or item from your world travels do you wish your local supermarket stocked?

'cos I've been "out here" 11 years, it's quite hard to get English foodstuffs without forking over a paycheck.
For Christmas, I got a pack of curly wurlys, wagon wheels, and cadbury's chocolate.
I am now nomming on a Curly Wurly and it's giving me great pleasure.
What has given you great pleasure lately?
