Previous thread is a) too long and b) created by Al
Bearing in mind that anyone who doesn't live in London and is going to the Bash is on a train by now, I feel this is a perfect time to unlock some taboo subjects. My questions are these;

- Assuming that no Rooney means Chelsea will walk the title this year, who's going to finish second? Yes I'm aware that most of the B3tans who like football aren't going to the Bash.

- How badly does Countdown need Carol Voderman back to make it the tea-time wankfest it once was?

- What's the worst British city you've ever visited, in honour of my forthcoming visit to Glasgow?

- Which B3tan (preferably from those not reading this) would you most like to bless with a kick in the fucking bollocks/front bum?

How good is it that it's bash day?

Alt: How bent are you that you aren't even fucking going?

Football is now officially a farse. If you had a footballers wage what would you spend it on?
Alt Q: If you could be a celebrity for a day who would it be and why?
(, Thu 21 Oct 2010, 23:32, 97 replies, latest was 15 years ago)
Long thread is long and the main question covered.
Anybody else saddened by Ari Up's death? Don't get me wrong, I hate grief tourism as much as the next guy, but I do love the Slits version of I Heard it Through the Grapevine.

The last celebrity death that saddened me was JG Ballard.

Alt Q- Do you like breasts?

Does sex get better with age?
Alt: What are your plans for this evening?

You and your little problems
While the newspapers in England are all about the cuts, how to go out of the crisis, unemployment and that, the newspapers in Spain are making the main story of an MP from the "similar to tory" party saying something sexy about a MP woman from the "similar to labour" party.

There's a big discussion about it, if it was right or not, misogynist or not, and insult or not...

So, when did you last time witness or participated on a bigger than it should have been row over something very silly?
(, Thu 21 Oct 2010, 14:59, 278 replies, latest was 15 years ago)
I like eggs.

STRESS!
After having the total trauma of holding onto my daughter this morning as they put her under for her operation and feeling her fall unconcious, I am stressed to death. What have you been most stressed about lately?

p.s.
She is fine now!

Alt Q:

(, Thu 21 Oct 2010, 14:00, 143 replies, latest was 15 years ago)

Some of you seem as excited about this Bash
As my nephew gets about Christmas.

When was the last time you were so excited you couldn't sleep?

Alt Q: What's for lunch?

Sorry Darth, but screw Vietnam and movies and shit like that.
Today was my muckup day. I'm not a high school student any longer. I have one week of study leave before exams start, but my school life is over until I start uni!

I'm fucking FREE of this place. :D *dances*
When were you last insanely happy?
(, Thu 21 Oct 2010, 10:09, 37 replies, latest was 15 years ago)
I have nothing of interest to say, I'm just starting a thread because I can and no-one else has
Some good news for you - I'm off to Vietnam in a couple of weeks, so you won't have to put up with my inane ramblings and protestations of heterosexuality. Where in the world would you most like to go that you haven't already been?

Alt Q - Favourite Vietnam movie? Seeing as how I plan to quote from all of them at some point when I get back and people ask me where I've been

Moral dilemma for you
My motorbike was written off, mostly cosmetic damage. I get a cash payout and the bike. I'm selling the bike as is. But having put an advert up, I've found out that it's worth more than I thought - thanks to the insurance company thought. About £300-400 more. Someone's made me an offer and will be coming to view it. I've updated him but I've also said I'll honour my original price, since I agreed in principle.

What would you do in my situation - am I being a mug?
(, Wed 20 Oct 2010, 22:19, 136 replies, latest was 15 years ago)
Right, I am officially REALLY LOOKING FORWARD TO FRIDAY.
Because I don't get out much, obviously, being Northern and therefore by default really fucking poor since the Tories destroyed our traditional industries an' all that. Shipyards, coal etc.

What's exciting you at the moment?

Alt: What's the weather going to be like in London at the weekend? Do I need to pack a cardigan, or will the sun glinting off the gold plated streets give me horrible sunburn?
(, Wed 20 Oct 2010, 21:33, 54 replies, latest was 15 years ago)
I've had 4 pints so far and am starting on a 5th. What are you having this evening?
Answers may include food, alcohol consumption, anything sexual or anything else you have "happening" as I believe the kids say.

Alt: Spit or swallow?
(, Wed 20 Oct 2010, 20:38, 159 replies, latest was 15 years ago)
Right, that thread's dead.
Everything nowadays is shit. It was all so much better when I was younger. What was better when you were younger?
(, Wed 20 Oct 2010, 17:50, 146 replies, latest was 15 years ago)
Lemsip - any flavour
I bloody hate it. It makes my beer taste all lemony, or blackcurranty or orange and winter fruity. What's your favourite flavour?

ALT Q: I am facing redundancy. Will you give me a job and if so what as?
(, Wed 20 Oct 2010, 16:52, 81 replies, latest was 15 years ago)
A train leaves Derby at 16:34 and arrives in London at 19:31
At what point do I tell you I'll be at the bash?

Alt: What are you having for dinner?

Alt Alt: When was the last time you met someone from the interwebs?
(, Wed 20 Oct 2010, 15:35, 230 replies, latest was 15 years ago)
It's Hallowe'en soon. What'd be your fancy dress costume of choice?
Personally I want to build a working Transformers outfit out of cardboard. I'd change from shoddily-realised robot to half-arsed car!

Alt Q: The duck-billed platypus has fur, a beak, lays eggs, has a venomous sting and uses electro-location to find insects and fish. Is someone having a laugh?
(, Wed 20 Oct 2010, 14:56, 146 replies, latest was 15 years ago)
I have to buy some packaging tape that is brown on the sticky side, white on top
and has threads of string inside as reinforcement.

What is this tape called, and where is one most likely to find it?

So who's watching/reading/listening to the spending review?
I think most my office is because the internet is now running very slow.

How doomed are you by the whole thing?
(, Wed 20 Oct 2010, 13:38, 192 replies, latest was 15 years ago)
Whodunnit?
Walking to work this morning, I saw that somebody has chalked B3TA on the side of St Giles Cathedral on the Royal Mile in Edinburgh.

Own up, villain.
