CV advice
I just rewrote my CV in the third person. First time I've done that. Is it alright to do so?

What do you lot think?

What are you doing this evening?

I have just acquired a 5 piece set of cast iron cookware.
This weekend will be spent seasoning and testing said cookware.
Does anybody have any tips for this process or any dishes which are noticably better when cooked in cast iron?

Alt q: What is your favourite foreign language film? I'm torn between Jeux d'enfants and Oldboy.

I've been invited to a Man vs Food party and I've got to bring a food based challenge to it.

Playing Age of Empires 2 last night
Me and a computer ally against my flatmate and his computer ally. I'm bloody well cool, eh?
Anyway, about halfway through, my ally Louis XVI decides he's had enough and just resigns out of the blue, leaving me to get battered. It would appear even virtual people don't get on with me.

When's the last time you've been fucked over by a machine?

Would you rather have
A magical panther that would attack on your command. Or a monkey butler?

When making your decision you should consider the potential of teaching the monkey martial arts - thus making it able to defend you, though it would lack the grace and wonder or the magic employed by the panther.

Well, that wasn't too interesting
So, time for the Generic Lunch Thread!

Today, Mulligatawney Soup with a bread roll. Yawn.

Yourself?

Alt Q: Is there anything you should count yourself as a snob in? I've been arguing with a bloke at work because he wants to go and watch "Let Me In", and I've been pointing out that everything about the original is better, even though I've not even seen the new one yet.

I've got Daim cookies, and I just got given a free bit of chocolate smartie swiss roll.
This makes me better than all of you.
Discuss.

In a new housing development
in Zaragoza, people has voted that all the streets have names related with videogames. The new streets will have names as Mario Street, Luigi Avenue or Tetris Square.

If you could, which names would you give to streets?

Edit: The first Avenue has been inagurated with the name of "Super Mario Bros Avenue"

All this talk of the multi-talented and not-at-all irritating Richard Blackwood
has led me to ask a very important question this morning.

Who da man?*

*clue: it's not Richard Blackwood.

A film, by Gonz, TGB and hopefully you.
Last night we came up with an idea for a film, I just need someone to write a script, cast the film, scout the locations, purchase/hire the equipment needed, a special effects person and....[etc etc].

It's called "Mellenium Man", and it's about a person who is awake once every 14 days. He only ages during the time he's awake, so at 20 years old for him, in real terms he's about 280 years old. It's about how life has changed through out history, starting off in around the 1500s and finishing around 2500s. He's watched lovers grow old and die, he's seen war and famine, traveled the world, from the [what ever era that was] to the space age to the begining of the collonisation of the moon. He would have died at around the year 2100, but with medical advancements, his lifespan has expanded expedentially. Maybe there is a bit where he keeps on trying to commit suicide after seeing so many people grow old and die, but never makes it.

I'm not entirely sure what happens when he is asleep, like maybe he simply doesn't exist in the awake world, or maybe he's on some sort of auto-pilot? Maybe he's just simply asleep. Maybe there would be medical problems involved, like attrophy for being asleep for so long.

I see people are still up.
Does this mean I can talk to all of you now??

At what point
Did cereal companies stop putting free-gifts in with breakfast cereal? When I was a lad, you couldn't eat your breakfast quick enough in anticipation of opening a new box of Rice Krispies.

These days. Nothing.

What the best free-gift you've ever had bundled with another product?

We found out we are having another girl which has made me very happy
But I have an interview including a 10 minute presentation which has made me nervous.

What do you do to prepare yourself for an interview?

Alt Q. I have made two girls with my cock, what have you made with your sexual organs?
(, Tue 9 Nov 2010, 10:15, 80 replies, latest was 15 years ago)
Good news... or are they?
You know sometimes, when you get good news, and you are all excited about them, and you can't stop thinking about the news. And then, the more and more you think about those good news, the more and more you realise they're not so good...

I was contacted yesterday to have an interview for that job in Madrid. That's good news. Now, thinking about it, I can see 2 problems:

1. They haven't called Mark (I asked, they'll tell me tomorrow if they want him or not) but I'm not going anywhere without him
2. I don't know much about the job, but it looks like what I was doing a few months ago, when I lose the will to live, and only wanted to cut my veins to have a reason to stay at home.

So, when did you recieve some new, exciting news; or when did something amazing happened to you, and after a while, you realised it wasn't so amazing after all?

Dropping a flounce-bomb all over Maxi's thread (sorry about that)
Right, you gorgeous bastards, I'm leaving the country for a couple of weeks today so I'm opening up the floor. Ask me anything. Tell me anything you like. Don't hold back, I'm dying to tell some of you my opinions in return.

Alt Q - Re-read the above but insert a few choice swearwords to emphasise my disdain for your demand for an Alt Q
