All the tabloid coverage of him in the early noughties was classic “MY DRUGS HELL” template.
A story that amused me at the time was that he got a cab from London to Salford to film Coronation Street. The cab driver said he was smoking crack and wanking over porno mags all the way. What was funny about it was the driver’s impotent outrage and moral indignation about it. Just stop the fucking car and tell the prick to get out if he’s behaving like that, don’t turn a blind eye and then hawk your story to the gutter press and falsely claim the moral high ground. Can’t be arsed to find the story, think it was NOTW so gone forever now, just google “Craig Charles crack” though, there were loads of stories. The was also an allegation of rape at a crack house I vaguely recall. No charges pressed I think.

I was logging core once on an RC drill righ that was on a dyke between two cyanide lakes.
The lakes and the dyke were lined with thick black plastic sheeting. Twice I saw the offsiders (the blokes who fill up the core bags) slip on the wet plastic and almost slide into the lake. As the only company man it was probably up to me enforce OHS on the drilling contractors, but I was fresh out of uni and just thought it was part of the job. The cyanide is used for spraying on the heap leach, vast ziggurats of low-grade dirt which it slowly soaks through and recovers a small percentage of the gold as a colloid

Try it yourself, plenty of things contain cyanides.
I've got a cherry laurel hedge, crush/shred the leaves and they smell of benzaldehyde (cherry/sweet almond) and HCN (sharp disagreeable smell) in the background.

We used to use cyanide where I worked
So we had antidote kits available, which contained amyl nitrate. There was at least one occasion where a colleague claimed to have inhaled cyanide but there was more than a hint that they were just after a free hit during working hours!

I've seen someone try to drink them, but whenever I've sniffed too much all I got was a blinding headache.
I've also had a (non-smoking) friend ask for a cigarette, dip it in the bottle and stick it up his nose.
Takes all sorts, I suppose.

And people wonder why Corbyn lost so badly, why Boris got a majority of 80, why the ‘red wall’ fell.
It’s because of exactly this kind of arrogant, contemptuous sneering that makes you ask your stupid question. If you weren’t so fucking stupid, you’d know talking to backbenchers is a vital part of a prime minister’s job. Something a prejudiced snob like you is incapable of comprehending. You’re the first to bleat ‘racist’ on here at anything you perceive as such, and you have an extraordinary talent for seeing racism where there is none, yet you have no problem with discrimination against ‘northern no-marks’.
