Christmas 2020 the most appropriate festive song for 2020
A genius who mashed Wham's last Christmas with Slayer's Angel of Death. In these times of Covid and planks like Trump and Johnson failing to deal with it properly, this seemed entirely reasonable. Imagine if it got to number 1 in the charts?

Vigil for Our Dad
I made this!
I don't know if this is appropriate to share semi-publicly but anyway.
Our Dad died peacefully at home on Saturday morning aged 98. Since March lockdown I have been his primary carer and maintainer of his independence (he only stopped mowing the lawn in October).
But every evening while he watched Eggheads or Channel 5 documentaries, I made strange films on my laptop, so I could be present but keep my sanity. This is the one I made while sat with him in his room for the last couple of weeks.
The footage of him at the end is from two weeks ago and not too upsetting I hope, he was explicit in his readiness to check out and said he wouldn't recommend getting old to anyone.
Thank you x
erit: now viewable, thanks

He hated having to use a walker, but he loved his mower, so I did seriously think of bringing the mower indoors in order to stop him toppling over all the time.

Glad that with your help he stayed at home and was active until the end. I have an elderly Father and I know they can be very frustrating and almost drive you mad at times. They are young people trapped in failing bodies.

You are obviously a good son. Your Dad's keen fashion sense, what with the snazzy jim-jams and immaculate hair, have obviously been an inspiration for your own slick look.
I hope your grief subsides as quickly as possible.

A caller to BBC London discusses Greek Monopoly boardgame.
We all know the UK version and due to a shared language and culture probably the US version too but if this caller to BBC London is to be believed, the Greek version is quite quite different. It's not just replacing the Waterworks with the Parthenon as you might expect.

You can't really be this upset about Sir Jimmy Savile's YouTube channel
It's probably not even run by him. He'd have been 94 last birthday. There aren't many 94 year olds running their own YouTube channel. It's probably run by a fan or the holder of his image rights or something.

I have no idea
why you would want to post that puerile crap.
If you have any self-awareness you surely must expect a negative response to posting such dross.
I can only come to the conclusion that either you are unable to form cogent thoughts regarding how other people think, or you actively want people to dislike you.
Either way, I don't think I'll bother clicking another of your links.

not sure why the others are having such a strong reaction
though I can't see much humour aside from what little flows from using the username of a well known dead paedo. there's no payoff or reveal, so it's basically poes law, the trolling being indistinguishable from an actual rightwing account of the kind that's depressingly ubiquitous.

I think you summarise it quite well.
The only humour or interest comes from the fact that he is posting under the name Sir Jimmy Savile. He is indistinguishable from an actual rightwing account, so much so that I personally don't think he is trolling, I think he believes the things he is saying or at least a version of them. He is doing so as Sir Jimmy Savile though which is the interesting part. If you are going to have a go at this guy for that, you need to have a go at Mike Yarwood too.
If Tom Scott and the BBC are trying to moderate YouTube comments as another poster claims then more fool them. It's not their responsibility to do so and if they want to attempt to do that then they shouldn't be surprised that's it's an impossible task. If you start deleting comments that you disagree with, ergo the comments left must be the ones you agree with. For high comment channels like those, that's not a good position to be in. They are not being paid by Google to clean up YouTube comments, so why do it?

I seem to remember an Inner City Unit release has a track on it called "Spetrum Programme" or somesuch. Apparently it was an actual computery thing and not just random noises, although I didn't have a Spectrum so I didn't get the chance to try it out.
EDIT: it was called "Hectic Electric 48K Spectrum Programme (Load It Don't Hold It)"

she was chalking up my cue, she was spotting my white
I was kissing her pink, it was saturday night
the next thing I knew, her rack was coming down

I said "I'm gonna pot the brown"
yeah, yeah, yeah,
Pot the brown
Lining her her up
