That's why it's a good idea, but it's also why the parties in charge won't do it.

I remember seeing that under a PR system the Green Party would have the same power as Ukip, that being roughly 5%. (Of course under PR, the Green Party might well get more votes than that)

I voted on all the ones that didn't offend me with tasteless/ostentatiousness, basically the three that look like they might be useful sheds and not a personality substitute or rich bastard's cunty bragging project.

The 'most colourful' category seems redundant, as that's not a matter of opinion, so one should simply count the colours and declare a winner.

Seeing as it's a case of financial mismanagement Nicola Sturgeon was on of the three who signed off on SNP finances they've all had to be questioned under charge. They'll then be released without charge as the investigations continue and if there's sufficient evidence they'll bring formal charges. I've never really thought about it but it must be why you can get arrested under suspicion at the start of a process of investigation, but you'll have to be formally charged once the CPS is bringing a case against you.

This is a normal post I have a old mate who has a Ukrainian family, and teaches English in Ukraine
- the weekly update from him about his students' everyday lives, about his own life, they're horrifying. Everyone is trying to get on with living and learning and loving and all that everyday stuff, and around them all is the imminent threat of war crime, shelling, and rockets, and drones.

"Sorry, I couldn't make it to lesson this morning, my village was shelled."
"Hello [student], how are you this morning? Was it loud last night? - No. There were explosions, but they were far away - like a distant storm. I slept very well." *

It's visceral, reading this from a guy I've known since we were kids, talking about students and their families, the same ages now as when we were hanging around trying to scam our way into pubs and clubs underage, and drinking in the park.

*I'm paraphrasing, so his posts are less doxx-able.

Soz, that's not very funny. I bet they're all having a right laugh there with their rockets, amirite?

This is a normal post We'll never, ever see a collective unified push towards a shift to greener energy while there is still an abundance of fossil fuels left to be shaken out of the earth's crust.
Assuming we aren't all hurtled back to the pre-industrial era by the impending war with China, I think it's far more likely that we'll see more and more money being invested into climate change mitigation rather than climate change reduction.
The climate will eventually (mostly) self-rectify once we've burned the last of the coal and oil the planet has to offer. I reckon there's going to be far more money in selling people different methods to survive a hostile earth than there would ever be in selling the prior generations means to reduce their net impact on the environment.

Burning all the fossil fuels would pose a bit of a challenge because doing so would reduce the free oxygen levels in the atmosphere to pre-Paleoproterozoic levels.

This is a normal post We have a southern facing roof on our house.
Perfect for the installation of solar panels and we also live beside the sea which gives us the ability to have a small wind generator as well. However, apart from the cost, because of the direct line to the sea there is a "high risk" that the panels would blow off so the insurance company will not cover any install. This despite the fact that we have not even lost a roof tile nor chimney pot in 30 years. Also they decided 20 years ago that this was a smokeless area so we had to switch to oil, then they decided to go with gas so we have been fucked over by the local council and energy companies for years.
