I like a trailer that gives you a scene (ideally one that's not in the film). Cloverfield was the master of the genre (although it spunked the best scene in the film).

He's a bit of a twat, but I don't think he's a racist by any means. I honestly don't think the racial angle occurred to him until the twitter outrage had already happened.

Lots of twattish celebrities have been jostling to outdo each other's phoney outrage. I'm assuming the outrage is phoney, because if it's real then they're very thick people indeed.
Anyway, he missed a trick. He should have asked how it can be racist if he's white, and all the people the joke was targeted at were white.

On the one hand there's stupid ignorance, like people I used to know blacking up genuinely having no idea it was offensive.
On the other there are people out there who genuinely believe that some races are inferior to others.
The former get sacked, the latter get invited on Newsnight.

This is possibly the best Star Wars fan film I have ever seen. All of it works. Disney, go and stand in the corner and hang your head in shame. This is how it is done.
(, Thu 9 May 2019, 9:50, Reply)
I thought the tone shift between the two was very jarring, it was way too violent and aggressive compared to the family fun feel of the original. It's like they thought the one thing Star Wars was missing was more violence toward old people :D
Technically its a mess, floaty footsteps, bad composites, wobbly sets, way too much lens flare and shonky graphics. And the guy playing vader is laughably small, makes his head look huge :D
It's a good lightsaber fight, just a shame they had to force it in to the original film.

I assumed it was intentionally horrible to show how it would be if it was made now.

Solo and Rogue One were fan service movies. I don't care where Han Solo got his fucking furry dice from. I got so bored of that film I turned it off and still haven't watched the last half hour. Yes I know who turns up, and no, I don't care. It's more fan service.

From the 60s to the 80s reproduction of color in TV and photos had exponential advancements so rainbows were a constant theme . It would be funny to watch many of their claims in a format that showed how they aged and would look under modern tech. 70s photo-mat snapshots have such a predictable failure that the first auto fix Photoshop filters were perfected on them.
